@youtube tell your developers to revert all the recent algorithm changes. why are you recommending me a 10 month old 40k view video from a guy ive never watched about a topic ive never shown interest in. this didnt happen a few months ago and now its like every 3rd video

wafrn devs seriously if you want to stop being so mad at people online stop namesearching your fucking app. all it serves to do is spread negative opinions (like mine) to you, a group of people who disagree with me extremely harshly.

one of the most important parts of running a Space online is knowing how to avoid exposing yourself to everyone from active trolls to people who are just annoying and/or wrong. namesearching and then replying to every negative post does literally the opposite.

my eternal debate is "do i wanna do something or should i watch 4 hours of youtube" and every time its a hard choice when it should literally never be

something that irritates me to no end is that you just cannot officially get a version of Fear from Rez that uses the sample. they can obviously clear the sample to some extent it's in the game. why can i not get that version without reconstructing it from the game files

idk which of these i believe more or if it could be a secret third thing but i just do not believe they have never been able to license the sample out for soundtrack releases. there has to be something else going on

jade
@galaxii.nexus

maybe it's mizuguchi's vision. maybe in order to experience this awesome song that's the climax of the game you need to play the game and having it on the soundtrack would ruin it

it really does seem like adam freeland somehow believed the original rez version was not the best version, which is why he remixed it for the soundtrack release and then made a third unique version for the NFSU2 soundtrack. the rez version *is* the best version though, by a long shot

jade
@galaxii.nexus

like people always argue its some licensing issue but if it was a licensing problem surely the sample would've been removed in rez infinite proper? it honestly seems to me like "rez edit" is them covering "live edit" or something. like he just sent the wrong version and they rolled with it anyway

looking into the wipEout series for something and it just makes me sad that we won't ever see another real game in this series ever again

jade

sometimes i try to use my launchpad for music and just play the worst drum groove ever for half an hour and give up and sometimes i come up with a sick ass bassline. today is the latter which i am grateful for

tangentially related to the brakence album but seriously the rym moderators have to do something about those capitalization rules. actually fucking ridiculous that this is what we're doing

jade
@galaxii.nexus

like at least when the official track names are consistently all caps or all lowercase it's just annoying but when the capitalization throughout an album varies like this it's like. idk man i feel like you should just leave it alone

jade
@galaxii.nexus

i know most of the ppl who follow me dont care but the new brakence is like an 8? higher highs and lower lows which is what i expect from something with this wide of a range and with this level of experimentation. i hope i don't have to wait 4 more years to hear the next iteration of his music

feeling a deep respect for people who use koikatsu for anything resembling art because i just spent like 4 hours trying to use it to make a twitch emote.

jade
@galaxii.nexus

part of it is i don't have like any art knowledge or training so i'm just sorta doing everything based off of vibes. not to say i wasn't having like a little bit of fun with it but man cleaning up the renders and tweaking a bunch of values that don't quite work how you expect sucks

jade

Ohhh i see i dont think it records any i-frames. so in order to decode the video you have to decode the Entire video. avidemux works on i-frames so it just gives up and dies
