🎉 Big congratulations to DNDi on this important milestone! It’s great to see the Alliance grow, bringing together more institutions across dengue-endemic countries to move research forward and expand treatment options.

🌍We are pleased to announce that the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has joined the Dengue Alliance, making Kenya the first African country part of this global partnership dedicated to advancing dengue treatment research. 👉 More details: dndi.org/press-releas...

Too many antibiotics in development are variations of existing treatments. Tackling antimicrobial resistance demands genuine innovation. GARDP focuses antibiotic R&D on WHO priority pathogens, directing innovation towards the greatest unmet needs & public health impact. #AMR #AntibioticResistance

REVIVE resources are now featured in PACE’s Therapeutics Resources Directory, a curated collection of webinars, guidance, databases and practical tools covering the journey from early discovery to regulatory approval. 🔗https://paceamr.org.uk/therapeutics-resources-directory/

ICMR and GARDP convened leading voices from India's health ecosystem to set priorities for tackling #AMR in India. The consultation will help shape GARDP’s 2027–2031 strategy for India, identifying opportunities to improve access to antibiotics and accelerate the development of new treatments.

📹Herman Goossens, Emeritus Professor at the University of Antwerp, explains why sustained investment in R&D, clinical trials, manufacturing and equitable access is essential to secure the future of antibiotics. #AMRIsBig #OurResponseIsBigger

Lord Darzi hosted a working lunch at the House of Lords this week, convened with GARDP, in his new role as GARDP Advocate. Guests from Parliament, government, the NHS, research and industry discussed AMR resilience, financing and partnership. #AMR

At the 63rd PAHO Directing Council, Member States approved the Plan of Action on AMR 2027–2031. GARDP and PAHO’s work on surveillance, diagnostics, Reserve antibiotic access and R&D supports the Plan’s priorities. We look forward to contributing to its implementation. 🔗https://tinyurl.com/yvs8ryxd

New gonorrhoea treatments need a clear pathway from evidence to policy and practice. At #IUSTI2026, GARDP and partners will discuss the evidence needed to guide responsible introduction and maximise public health impact. 📍 South Hall 2A 📅 16 Oct, 13:00–14:25 #AMR

🤝In 2026, #REVIVE welcomes 19 new experts to its global community, bringing expertise across infectious diseases, microbiology, epidemiology, drug discovery, clinical research, regulatory affairs and #AMR. Different expertise. Diverse perspectives. One shared commitment: tackling AMR.

🌍 “Innovation doesn’t happen in silos.” At #GAMRIC2026 in Lisbon, Peter Beyer reflects on why GARDP supports this conference: creating space to exchange ideas, find partners and connect work across the @=#AMR field. Next stop: 📍Bangalore, India 📆7–9 Sept 2027

🤝 GARDP and @dndi.org are pleased to announce support from the Foundation for the Adaptation of International Geneva to strengthen collaboration, share capabilities and resources, and help both focus more on developing and ensuring access to treatments for NTDs and drug-resistant infections.

🌎 For the first time, GARDP is participating in the PAHO Directing Council, joining health authorities from across the Americas to discuss shared public health priorities. 💊Our work with PAHO is strengthening AMR surveillance, research and antibiotic access. 🎥See the work taking shape in LatAm.

In Brazil, GARDP & Fiocruz are working with hospitals & labs to understand resistance profiles for the responsible use of Reserve antibiotics, including susceptibility to cefiderocol. Microbiologists recently trained at Fiocruz’s LABSUR for training in antimicrobial susceptibility testing.

On #WorldSepsisDay, we’re reminded that treating sepsis depends on having antibiotics that work. As resistance grows, those options are shrinking. “Invest in Sepsis – Save Lives” means investing in the treatments we need to stay ahead. #AMRIsBig #OurResponseIsBigger

In Germany, earlier diagnosis helps patients receive treatment for sepsis sooner, but AMR is making infections harder to treat. Peter Beyer writes in Tagesspiegel Background on why sepsis investment must include new antibiotics: tinyurl.com/3pt7tama #WorldSepsisDay #AMRIsBig #OurResponseIsBigger

What does a new antibiotic have to do with sexual health? More than you might think. As gonorrhoea becomes harder to treat, impact can reach reproductive health, pregnancy and newborns. That makes antibiotic innovation part of sexual health. 🦠 #AMRIsBIG #OurResponseIsBIGGER

Developing a new antibiotic is only half the race. 🌍 But it's equally important that treatments reach the countries and communities with the greatest need, without unnecessary delays. 💊At GARDP, we believe antibiotic innovation and access must go hand in hand in the fight against #AMR.

What would happen if antibiotics stopped working? In a recent interview with GARDP, Dr. Norio Ohmagari discusses the growing threat of AMR, the challenges facing antibiotic development and the importance of global collaboration. 🔗Read the full interview: gardp.org/healthcare-i...
