I've done it. Got Archipelago stood up with 3 games (Hades, Hollow Knight, Refunct). Items mixed between all the games! This is also mostly default settings, so Hades started on like... 46 heat. Which is WHOOF on a brand new save file.

My first actual console was a Sega Genesis because for the NES generation, I had a Commodore 64.

A large number of my contemporaries are gonna have the same answer - nes with a super mario/duck hunt/possibly track and field cart

Date yourself with a snap of your first ever compute. Not sure which was first. I expect it was the Apple ][e, but the first one I spent significant time with was the Commodore 64.

Desciribe your favorite games poorly: The voice in my head is cooler than I am. Best friend dies, passes on medical issue. I try to compensate by bolting tech to my body, this can't end badly. Me and 107 of my friends are going to fight with my best friend who didn't invite me to his wedding.

@scalzi.com I'm obviously a latecomer, since I just started the Old Man's War books a few weeks ago. I just finished Zoe's Tale. It's easily my favorite. My grandmother died just as I was starting ZW, so the points where Zoe feels loss and says goodbye were particularly felt. Thanks for that.

I am advocating for due process for Abrego Garcia.

JUST IN: Deputy Assistant to the President and "Counterterrorism Czar" Sebastian Gorka says anyone advocating for due process for Kilmar Abrego Garcia could be viewed as "aiding and abetting a terrorist" and be federally charged. (h/t Philip Germain)

Babylon 5, fantastic. Firefly, fantastic (though we've obviously learned things about Whedon). Andor was very strong, but also gets to draw a bit on Rogue One. For a different direction... Quote with your favorite show/movie set in outer space

quote with your favourite show/movie set in outer space (Really a toss up between Bab5 and the Expanse, and both for many of the same reasons. Give Andor a full run and there's my trifecta.)

Let it go. It's easy to let life wrap you up, and spin you around, and beat you down. You can choose yourself, and if the choice is between your health/family/mental health and working through the weekend. Choose yourself.
