I urgently wish to know what the Values of Ireland are.

I literally wrote a book about how people got ARRESTED for trying to speak Irish to police in Ireland, don’t given me this feigned respect and reverence for Irish.

Did you know that we deny Deaf people in Ireland the opportunity to learn Irish in school? Because it’s deemed that they wouldn’t be able. Without any assessment. Without any comprehension that many Deaf people are learning ISL and English at the same time? And are therefore bilingual?

And are therefore primed to be good at learning another language anyway? We do this for a whole host of people, including dyslexic people - just cut off from learning because there’s no way a dyslexic person could learn Irish (iykyk)

But suddenly, it’s an innate part of what it means to be Irish? I’m not a dog but something tells me they’re blowing a whistle.
