When I was in my teens I watched the World at War series on tv, in the afternoon on weekends. It should be shown in schools. Lots of historical misery and suffering and atrocities, it was mind blowing but had the underlying theme that good will triumph over evil. Eventually.

In particular I was waiting for a response from Israel. It never came and I was really struck by that. In my eternal ignorance, totally oblivious to the lives of people in Israel because of my western bias, the news never seemed sufficient to drive the situation into my brain. I grew up that way.

I never gave any thought to protests and the violence other than to think people were being put up to it by leaders with evil intent. Not getting any idea of actual conditions and why the hatred was so deep, I still cant figure it out. I believe over time humanity improves, but it hasnt there.

I bring this up because after the genocide episode something that stayed in my head was “never again”. Of course for some reason I thought this sentiment from holocaust survivors applied to all humanity but later on when a genocide was occurring in Africa I recall, no one spoke up.

We're watching so-called Second Amendment absolutists deciding, in the space of a day, that masked federal agents are justified in murdering an American citizen because he was carrying a gun. As a gun owner myself, this is abhorrent.

I just wanted to share that I’ve noticed when I’ve gone to the LCBO looking to pick up some Sauvignon Blanc as I was checking out the Ontario aisles there seemed to be a surplus of Wayne Gretzky vineyards on shelves. It was good to see other people felt the same way I do.

I have a question, and it applies to Amazon My question is are Canadiens who buy through Amazon paying Trumps tariffs on products that are a warehoused in the US and if that’s the case, why aren’t they being shipped directly to a Canadian warehouse from international suppliers?

I’m planning to replace my 2010 Honda CRV with a Hyundai Santa Cruz. I was at the dealer to ask when the 2026 would be available as there was going to be a change in the transmission from DCT to automatic, good news. Better yet Hyundai is setting up production in Korea, no Trump tariffs. Yeah!!

Looking back at the outrage over the US pulling out of Afghanistan and the taunts of a Taliban victory. Then today to witness the US surrendering Ukraine to Russia and the axis of evil and trying to extort a mineral deal out of it. Impeachment would be too good for Trump.

I have to say I am so mad at the Canadian Govt and PM Trudeau and his flunkies for not taking the last 9 years to make international trade a priority and shake off the American tit. Once it was recognized that Americans were capable of Trump the process should have begun.

To all my American friends, after checking whats happening on X this morning you have my deepest sympathy. I now feel it will be necessary to arm myself and my family for the anarchy that is sure to come. Putin has won
