MCM London Comic Con today! My author signing times have changed and now are … back-to-back 🤔 so I’ll be there from 2:45 to 4:45. Panel and signing tomorrow!

The sun came out in London and followed me to Oxford for my first event. Thanks to everyone who came along to Blackwell’s, the booksellers, and conversation partner Natasha Pulling. Next up, London Comic Con signing Saturday 2:45pm and Sunday panel and signing.

Off to London tomorrow to begin my UK tour for MASSIF. Details at garthnix.com and check with the bookshops. If you’ve half a mind to come along to an event — that’s enough 😀 Bring books, buy books, get them signed, ask questions, take pics. See you there!

Great to be back in Canberra for the Writers Festival, to catch up with family, friends, readers, other authors (these categories overlap). Heading home to Sydney for one night, off to London tomorrow. (I will post more UK tour details later today, much of it up on www.garthnix.com/appearances-...

Thanks to everyone who came to see me at Broadbeach Library last night, to Claire, Nicole and Donna from the library, and Sophie from Bookface. Onwards to Brisbane now, for the event this evening at Brisbane Library.

Home briefly before the MASSIF tour continues, going on to the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Canberra and then the UK. Thanks to everyone who came to see me at the Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival on the weekend. I didn't do selfies with audience (forgot) but here is one of goats where I stayed.

Thanks everyone for coming along to Robinson’s Bookshop in Glen Waverley last night, thank you to Jarryd and the booksellers! Off to the Dandenongs today for the Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival today and tomorrow. See you there!

Thanks everyone for coming along to the Geelong/Waurn Ponds Hotel event for MASSIF last night! A big thank you to Julie from Dymocks and convo partner Darren Nash. Not often I get to drink Guinness at a book event 😀

My Australian event schedule for MASSIF. A corrected version of my Australian tour graphic, as the previous one had the wrong Robinsons store. It will be Glen Waverley, not Frankston. UK details coming soon. No US tour this year, my apologies. www.allenandunwinblog.com/events/garth...

I’ll be at the brand new QBD Books Top Ryde today (Saturday 26 September) at 12:30, signing books as part of their opening celebrations. See you there!

After a pleasant afternoon of stock signing, QBD Books Bondi Junction, Harry Hartog Bondi Junction, QBD Broadway, and Gleebooks all have signed copies of MASSIF (and others). Thank you, booksellers!

If you're looking for your next epic space opera check out Massif, the new SF/cosmic horror from the legendary @garthnix.bsky.social - out this week! Amazing worldbuilding with vast spacefaring mountain ranges, interstellar war, and deep mysteries about the nature of the universe... 💙📚🪐

It's publication day for MASSIF (here in Australia, where we live in the future, but it will be soon elsewhere). Please go forth (or stay in) and order your copy. Or copies 😀 Here in Australia, I'm happy MASSIF is a book of the month with the QBD chain, in fine company. They have signed copies.

Like many authors I am grappling with the Anthropic settlement "Works Allocation" with various incorrect claimants on numerous books. Including a claimant called "Lirael" for my book LIRAEL . . .

It was a long time ago, audiobooks were still on cassette/CD, so no online samples or anything. The producer emailed me suggesting Tim Curry, among some others. I replied "That guy should change his name to avoid confusion with THE Tim Curry". They came back with "we mean THE Tim Curry" . . .

I am sad to hear that Tim Curry has died. He was a wonderful actor. I was very fortunate that he narrated the audiobooks of SABRIEL, LIRAEL, and ABHORSEN, which brought many people to the original trilogy.

I extracted my shoulder from the dog support position. Snufkin made it clear he wanted to remain. I had to move a cushion so he could stay there. Admittedly it is a very sunny spot today.

I recently realised that one of my favourite tropes is "self-entitled people get their comeuppance". In fiction and non-fiction. In films and series. In life. Actually, in everything.
