The most important thing about this recent AI break out and Trumpโs knee jerk reaction (and no counter to that in his admin) of saying "donโt worry I am smart" shows just how incredibly incompetent his ppl are. I honestly would choose the current Ayatollah to have the nuclear codes over Trump now.
As much as I do fear the AI apocalypse I have to say I have optimism. It is amazing how reasonable AI is when you consider it is training randomly on the Corpus of human knowledge. Certainly it does have some effect by RLHF but really itโs mostly spontaneous and still ends up in a reasonable place.
OK, so I donโt know many people that will read this post but I am trying to turn the โhard problem of consciousnessโ into an easier problem. iโm not the first person to do this, but be interested to see peopleโs response. Please follow along ๏ฟผin the comments if that peaks your interest. ๏ฟผ

Consciousness like free will or agency is not really an illusion. Itโs just not what it feels like on the surface. I havenโt really thought of experiments to flesh this out. ๏ฟผ and I know Iโm not the first one to suggest it, but Iโm hoping someone might get interested in this conversation. ๏ฟผ

When Trump says he won the 2020 election in his address to the nation tomorrow night, remember Fox News had to pay $787.5 million for lying to viewers and spreading that same lie. Post anything here: interactink.vercel.app

I wanted to post this amazing video from Nautilus I saw this morning: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmBb.... So inspiring to think what we could and can do as united society on Earth, in this cause above Earth! Especially to see women and men of many nations together in harmony. Only for 4 more years.
