A predatory Katydid (probably Copiphora rhinoceros) preying on a freshly transitioned froglet (probably Smilisca phaeota).

Emergence. A freshly emerged cicada dries itself on a branch just above its shed exoskeleton.

Milk frogs here in Costa Rica are interesting. They come out of the canopy for about a week at the very beginning of rainy season for nightly, explosive breeding events. Then you rarely see them the rest of the year. They're huge for tree frogs. #frog #frogs #photography #wildlife #herps #costarica
