Since I’ve gained some new followers here not from the old place, here’s a “me” primer: 90% of the time, I will only tweet/retweet about the following subjects and people, or things adjacent to said subjects. The other 10% of the time is random snark + occasional crass comments. That’s your warning

MAGA gets to have “youthful indiscretions” sending unwanted nudes at 53, and be “just kids joking around making Nazi comments” on group chats at 30. Stop overreacting libs. 🙄

That’s 4 down and 1 to go in terms of the O5 X-Men… so who is our Bobby Drake/Iceman? It’ll probably be an out queer actor, so pick from that pool

Peter Claffey has reportedly been cast as Beast in the ‘X-MEN’ reboot film. (via knightedgemedia.com/2026/10/pete...)

This is (allegedly) the next 5 DCU movies set to go into production after Man of Tomorrow. Post-Clayface, it feels like Swamp Thing & Deathstroke should have mid-to-low budgets & rated R. Meanwhile, save the big budgets and PG-13 tentpoles for Batman, Wonder Woman,& Titans. Those are your A-listers

So I dug #Clayface. It’s a schlocky gross out revenge movie, but I was entertained the whole time. I think this succeeds in a way the “Spider-Man villains movies without Spider-Man in them” don’t, because while Matt Hagen is kinda sympathetic, he’s still basically a POS and a villain, not a hero

Re-watched “An American Werewolf in London” last night. I always thought that “The Naked Truth About Naughty Nina” commercial in the movie was fake and made just for the film. I’m delighted that it’s an actual real thing. “The men have been a lot, but I don’t regret one of them.” Tell it, sis.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure it was the 1978 re-release of The Jungle Book. My older brothers were in a showing at the same theater watching Close Encounters. I remember there was a trailer for Star Wars with Vader in it that scared me. It’s one of my earliest memories.

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! ET but fell asleep watching it. So the first film I saw, all the way through, at the cinema was Star Trek 4 The One With The Whales.

Poison Ivy was created by DC at the behest of the Batman TV producers in 1967, because they wanted more costumed femme fatale villains like Catwoman for the series. But Batman was canceled before they ever got around to using her. So it’s kind of just right that 60 years later she get her own show.

Aside from being Wonder Woman’s birthday, today my other childhood power princess, Carrie Fisher, would have turned 70. It still breaks my heart she left us so soon, the world sure could have used her sharp wit and big heart to get us through the past decade of hell.

Happy 85th Birthday to my favorite superhero of all time, #WonderWoman. Feminist icon, queer culture icon, and just ICON Icon. From WWII kink, to Super Friends, to Lynda Carter, to George Pérez, to now, no comic book hero stands for what I believe more. And only Cher is as stunning an octogenarian

Ok last one. And it’s TV but also movie. Killer BOB from Twin Peaks happened entirely by accident. Frank Silva was an on set dresser on the TP pilot, not an actor, when he accidentally locked himself in Laura Palmer’s bedroom. David Lynch heard that, and told him to crouch under the bed & filmed it.

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

When they later filmed the end of the pilot, where Laura’s mother has a vision and jumps from the couch, Frank Silva accidentally gets caught in the mirror behind her. Instead of re-shooting it, Lynch kept it in, realizing this was a sign that Frank was the show’s “Big Bad.” And thus, BOB was born.

One of the IRL medical techs who performs tests on Linda Blair in The Exorcist, Paul Bateson, ended up being a convicted murderer, who killed a reporter in his apartment 5 years later. He was suspected of being a serial killer of gay men in NYC. William Friedken then based his film Cruising on him

Walter Koenig knew he wasn’t in the Star Trek TOS episode with Khan in it, as he hadn’t joined the series yet. But he reminded no one in the production of Wrath of Khan on purpose, because he knew that they’d cut his big scene with Ricardo Montalban where Khan distinctly remembers Chekov.

So I’m binging all of Avatar: the Last Airbender because it’s one of my millennial husband’s favorite shows ever…and we’re almost done, and I finally realized “Prince Zuko sounds really familiar” and yeah, I went to high school with him. I can’t believe it took me this long.

James McAvoy, who we already know is very good at playing a young Patrick Stewart, pitched a one-off #StarTrek season about a younger Jean-Luc Picard taking command of the Stargazer, and Paramount+ said no. 😡Sometimes, Paramount makes it so easy for me to hate on them. nerdist.com/article/jame...

Watched the documentary on the 2016 Clown Panic tonight. I thought it would be creepy/funny, but it just highlights 2 things; A: people in these podunk towns really have nothing to do, and B: America really lost its collective mind in 2016. It was a truly negative inflection point for humanity
