alright, so Ceph is annoying & not worth it IMHO. But that is what the homelab is for, experimenting. It worked at first, then a new update in proxmox broke it & even though I got it to a "healthy" state, none of the VMs would transfer during an HA event a& would never boot again

I made a blunder in setting up my Proxmox ceph cluster. I failed to setup vPro or my CometX kvm One of the nodes is not healthy, not being very responsive, attempted to reboot it & now its not coming backup & its not physically here... #homelab #proxmox #selfhost

Homelab update meant to post this a few days ago, but i did figure out which specific RAM stick was failing. Now i just need a replacement. Sadly i havent seen any decent prices all week on ebay. So it'll be a while before i get that node setup But im going to work on the other 2

It appears some of the RAM I ordered for my Proxmox nodes is faulty. Need tonidentify the specific sticks but it seemsbto only be one node. Other ones pass the mem test diagnotics and cpu stress testing. I'll know more tomorrow whenni have more time.

Havent had the chance to mess with the new homelab for almost a week, minus adding some RAM to two of the 3 nodes (was still waiting for the last stick of RAM to come in) but once it does, they'll have 128gb each!

Really wish my last few pieces of equipment for the homlab would get here. But i decided to update the bios to all of nodes since that was something i could do while waiting.
