Today, I was proud to cast my vote alongside my wife, Cindy, and our son, Max! It means a lot to share this moment with my family as we vote for Virginia's future. There's still time to vote early! Make your voice heard by November 3!

Virginia is the last state in the South without an abortion ban, and I intend to keep it that way. As the father of a daughter, I refuse to let her grow up with fewer rights than the women before her. I'm proud to have Repro Rising Virginia's endorsement.

It was great to see such an enthusiastic turnout and hear directly from members of Virginia’s veteran community ahead of Election Day.

It was great to be in Fredericksburg with Delegate Josh Cole this weekend! Always good to catch up with so many friends and neighbors. We’re building grassroots momentum and working hard to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November!

Our service members have already paid too high a price for a war that has made America less safe and left us worse off than when it began. We must bring them home.

Virginians are already paying too much to keep the lights on. They shouldn't have to shoulder the costs of powering massive data centers, too. My legislation would make these companies pay their fair share. I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to help me pass it.

I just introduced a bill to ban live-streaming public executions. As an Army JAG, I oversaw the post-trial legal proceedings in Nidal Hasan’s case. He should face the fullest consequences of the law. But turning executions into public entertainment is what terrorists and authoritarian regimes do.

The Fredericksburg VA needs additional staff and resources to provide veterans with the quality care they’ve earned. I’ve been pushing the VA to address staffing shortages and fill critical vacancies, and I’ll keep at it until veterans can count on the timely, reliable care they deserve.

September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. I’m leading the Candis King Hope for Sickle Cell Families Act, named in honor of a young Virginian we lost far too soon to this disease. Our bill would restore a program that helped researchers improve care for people living with sickle cell disease.

Trump abused his authority by allowing ICE and CBP to operate without accountability. This lack of oversight resulted in the horrific deaths of Renée Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero. The American people deserve to know where their lawmakers stand.

The government has no business interfering in a woman’s health care decisions. I will always stand up for a woman’s right to abortion and reproductive care and fight to protect the freedom to make those deeply personal decisions.

25 years ago, I watched in horror as the Twin Towers fell on 9/11. I was soon activated as a reservist, and later went on to serve on active duty, forever changed by that day. Today, my thoughts are with those we lost on 9/11 and in the wars that followed. We will never forget their sacrifice.
