My beloved people in my phone... The "romantic partner" who "leads you on" before they get with you? Is not to be trusted. Because the entire point of leading someone on is the exact thing mentioned above. Even if they fall for you later? Their intentions BEGAN as HARMFUL.

We do not see the result of what may have happened in a world where Boq didn't stay with Nessa (willingly at first) and Galinda had her whole life changed hours later. But likely? Behavior would have CONTINUED into more intense manipulation as Boq's affection seeking efforts also intensified.

And while Glinda did NOT owe him anything, she very much did manipulate him... by implying that him taking Nessa on even a single date would earn her favor. Which was a blatant lie she just wanted rid of him. But it absolutely counts as leading him on.... in THAT ONE EXCHANGE.......
