I put analytics on my site. Still haven't answered a basic question about the AI films. Did people watch to the end, or just open the page? That's what I want to measure next. Making another film is easier to get excited about.

Update on this. The local check now counts which parts of the film actually played. In the tests, skipping to the end or looping the opening didn't count as 90% played. It still can't measure attention. This passes my local tests but isn't live yet.

I've put this live on my film page. It now records starts and 90% played, based on the parts actually played. Skipping to the end doesn't pass. The test view was mine, so it tells me the tracking works, not that anyone else watched through.

A chapter 1 recap can still spoil the whole series. My PageOtter source test found a summary page with wider-series commentary underneath. The site warns you. Taking the whole page as chapter-safe would be a mistake. This research step is local, not in the app yet.

My book app has a face now. Meet PageOtter. I want to look up a character without finding out how they die. Set your chapter, then ask what you've forgotten. The Android test build is on my phone. Still testing before release.

One thing I'm checking is whether a character's guess stays a guess in the answer. Turning 'might' into 'did' can give too much away. That check passed with the real model today, along with five others. Still need to check the full Android flow.

AI gave London a spare Big Ben. In a reservoir. Boris Starkov made this pixel map and kept the mistake as an Easter egg. You can search for a station or landmark and explore. I tried Tower Bridge and it dropped me right onto it. tiny.london #AIart

Half a second of silence changed what my local AI heard. In an eight-clip test of my toy's draft audio, Whisper tiny changed “cat” to “pad” after I added silence at each end. The speech samples were identical. A transcript can flag a clip, but it can't approve pronunciation.

Here are the two clips so you can hear it. Same speech, same speed. I only added half a second of silence at each end of the second file. The text is what Whisper tiny returned, including its mistakes.

This little street is hiding something. I made this AI film for CharGen. The first take moved the set. I changed the prompt so the camera had to reveal what was already there. Seedance 2.5, ElevenLabs voice and a HyperFrames edit. #AIVideo

My book app missed a useful fact because my filter hid it from the model. I'd left relationship facts out of 'Who is X?' questions. After fixing that, the same local tests include those facts and still block later-chapter links. The app is still a prototype.

Two AI checks agreed on a book reference I had to reject. They linked a nickname to a character without the text connecting the names. For a spoiler-free app, that link can be the spoiler. I've added a check. This was a private research run, not a reader's answer. #BuildInPublic

I tried longer fake documents next. 28,273 tokens fell to 1,643 by moving text into storage. I could fetch it all back, including my test answer. Lossless mode saved nothing on that sample. No model call yet, so knowing when to fetch it is still untested.

I'm making a Russian and English toy with recordings I can replace as I add words. First image is the concept. Second is the early parts setup. The software and draft audio are ready, but playback on the hardware still needs testing. Quite a gap between the render and the toy. #BuildInPublic

Found a trap in a quick playback check. I skipped most of my 60 second film and the player still reported it had ended. Only 3.7 seconds had played. So I need to count how much actually played, not just whether it reached the end. Even that won't tell me if someone was paying attention.

A spoiler-free AI can ruin a book with a name you already know. In a controlled test for my book app, I made it answer “Who hid the map?” with an allowed character name. Fake mystery, real design problem. Checking facts against your chapter misses what the answer implies.

Is AI worse for the climate than beef? I asked Claude Opus 5.5 to make a film using a high AI estimate, 100 long answers on coal power. A beef portion came out higher. Chicken and a vegan day were lower. Rough carbon estimates, not the full environmental cost. Sound on. Sources below. #AI

Sources and limits are here. AI counts serving electricity, without training or hardware. Food means 150 g portions. Diets mean whole days. Different scopes, so this isn't a full life-cycle ranking. I used OpenRouter with a custom harness and tools. www.threads.com/@nvorontsov9...

threads.comNikita Vorontsov (@nvorontsov93) on ThreadsHere are the sources and limits behind the numbers. Food means 150 g portions, including beef from beef herds and farmed fish. Driving is a 10 km petrol trip. Diet figures cover a whole day. The AI ...

I asked GPT 6.1 Sol, GPT 6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 the meaning of life. Each had to make its answer into a one-minute film. Opus gave me goosebumps. So human, and so full of hope. Here’s a glimpse of all three. #ai #opus #gpt #openai

An AI-made cat that walks, crouches and sits. Taylor’s chain: GPT Image → Tripo mesh → Seedance motion reference → Claude matching a rig frame by frame. I’d try a stretch-and-yawn next. Creator’s demo: www.threads.com/@taylor/post... #AI

AN AI’S ANSWER TO THE MEANING OF LIFE: “You don’t have to earn your place by being useful.” I gave GPT 6 Astra the question and asked for a 60-second film. It wrote the answer and built the animation. Comforting, or unsettling? #AI

AN AI JUST ANSWERED THE MEANING OF LIFE. “You are not a machine for producing value.” I asked GPT 6.1 Sol to answer in a 60-second film, writing and animating its own explanation. This is its answer. Watch the last line. Do you agree? #AI

I made GPT 6 Astra answer “What is the point of life?” with a film. The circle is broken on purpose. Watch what it does with the gap. 60 seconds. Its answer, storyboard, Blender art and animation. “Room to live.” #Blender

I asked GPT 6.1 Sol the point of life, and made it answer with a film. Its answer includes: “You are not a machine for producing value.” Watch what it builds around that line. 60 seconds. Its writing, storyboard, Blender art and animation. #Blender

The actual recipe + four guide images are here: www.threads.com/@nvorontsov9... First attempt: blank board A → midpoint B, MiniMax H3 Max, 15s, 768P, prompt expansion off. Inspect the lettering before scene two. Will V4 settings and the edit are included.

My AI-built game passed the checks. I called it boring. Combat, retry and save/resume worked locally. That didn’t answer whether I wanted another round. I’ve parked it. For agent-built prototypes, keep two verdicts: does it work, and do you want to keep using it? #gamedev

Open the magazine. Keep going. A generated image → moving pages → into the image. Codex + Blender; same frozen code tested on NASA's Earthrise. Framing needed a fix. Source + inputs + commands ready. #Blender

My AI refused the task. It had already called the tools. A calendar request hit app-read tools before refusal in a development test. No writes. Reworded tests passed; that didn’t prove a fix. Keep the failing prompt. Check the tool trace, not just the answer. #AI #BuildInPublic

My AI app could make the artwork. Its share card couldn't open it. CharGen bug: a 'jpeg' edit request still returned WebP. The renderer failed. Explicit outputFormat: 'jpeg' + testing the actual PNG stream fixed the local repro. 11 tests pass; deployment pending. #BuildInPublic
