We did it! Framework Laptop 13 Pro is on TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. This is our third product to list, after the original Framework Laptop in 2021 and Framework Laptop 16 in 2023.

I made the switch from Google Photos to Immich. I expected to have some struggles and trade in some comfort. It just worked, the app is nearly a copy of Google Photos. It's just easy. If you want to be less dependent on big tech, this is some low hanging fruit.

This sucks, but from what I can tell, the #nerves community just got more vibrant because people can more easily be part and do their thing. Also not possible without the people who've done the manual work LLMs got trained on 🙏

A video game reverse engineering community has shut down because many games can now be trivially reverse engineered and decompiled with AI: "The community aspect of decompilation has been broken." www.404media.co/video-game-r...

How freaking hard do they track you on Alibaba?! I literally just browsed for wall adapters. I've been getting dozens of emails with quotes for power adapters now. And today I see this:

🎶 Another one bites the dust 🎶 #nerves This thing has root access, just like before. But this time it's me, and not the manufacturer. And not over an unencrypted TCP connection that pipes its input straight into sudo.

I think using AI to allow ewaste to be repurposed helps me see the positive in all of what’s happening right now…

Really excited to be back! Prep for #Goatmire kept us busy in September, but now I feel like the community has been injected with a bunch of new energy after seeing a lot of really cool projects and hardware in Varberg. Come join us! #ElixirLang #NervesMeetup #Nerves

Nerves Meetup is back! After our one month vacation in September, we're really excited to get everyone back together this month As usual, our meetup is remote via Zoom. Join us next week Wednesday for a presentation by Isaiah DeRose-Wilson. Registration link below! nervesmeetup.eu/meetup/isaia...

Dont join the #nerves discord. I implore you to stay way. For your sanity, don't join. It's nothing but excitement, fun ideas, and nerd sniping. It. Just. Does. Not. Stop. Unless that your thing, then you're missing out.

Wife is on holiday. So I slept with the window closed and put my aranet in the room for science. Yikes 😅

Goatmire had ~30 speakers covering a very wide gamut of topics and styles. I've consistently heard that the level of talks was outstanding. Our speakers should be proud. #goatmire #elixirlang

Last week at Goatmire I gave an extended lightning talk titled "The Emperor's New Clothes". It will be released as a four-part series, starting with this pilot episode. Special thanks to Iryna Kostiuk for recording it. Enjoy!

One thing I realized during #goatmire is that a lot of tech we use begrudgingly (e.g., Google Photos, android, whatever) is now much closer to DIY than it has ever been. You can now much easier build your own (sloppy) version tailored to your needs.

So #goatmire is officially over. For the final meal we all ate the goat and rejoiced. Thanks for a great time all :)

So much wisdom from the trenches in this #goatmire talk. Now to hoard a few tb to try it out! 😅

So if I got this right, since state with Solve is a beam pid, you can have *your gui state trivially distributed on a cluster of UI devices*! #goatmire

GUI apps in Elixir done right by Damir Batinović. I generated a GUI with Claude and it did a decent job. So go out and build what you've wanted to build!

Go to #goatmire for #elixirlang talks, and then there's this weirdass viking talking about boats. What the heck.

Just had a fun Terraform workshop at #goatmire. Hit me up with your weirdest most fun Terraform providers. I'm going all in!

Okay, Copenhagen might be one of my new favorite cities to visit. Vienna, Copenhagen, and Prague are the top 3 I think :)

Soldering flux is the most nasty thing I ever tasted. It's a weird mix of eating sand and something utterly disgusting. 0/10 do not recommend.

I have a little side hustle that sells IoT devices. Because marketing is hard and marketing people cost more than my ARR, I decided to try Microsoft Clarity and figure out what people look for on my shop. I knew this existed, but seeing it in action really is so freakin' creepy.
