Lots of conversation re 'democratic socialism'. . . 'communism'. . . Raw capitalism left unchained can be really hard on people. . . a safety net is required. . . you can plan for that, or you can deal with it ad-hoc. . . maybe planning is 'democratic socialism'? www.ms.now/news/what-is...

ms.nowWhat is a democratic socialist? Inside the movement behind Mamdani’s riseDemocratic socialism is gaining new attention. Here’s what the movement stands for, from wealth taxes to universal healthcare.

Stock mkt today. .. down, then stabilizes. .. the up/down cycle times have just gotten so much faster these days

So now that the corruption and incompetence is becoming painfully obvious--one would think even to the trumpsters--what happens next? The world is watching, and we're only watching as well.

So would it be fair to say that king donnie face-planted today? And a totally un-forced error, in that he shouldn't have started this all to begin with? Some people just have to learn the hard way, maybe he just might take something from all this?

9/11, we suddenly had troops with long guns all over the airports. OK, 9/11 sucked, and increased security was appropriate. Long guns were alarming though. . . But today, long guns roaming the streets of Minneapolis? The Republicans had enough balls to reign Nixon in, have they been castrated?

Really folks, can anyone not understand how king donnie has overstayed his welcome? He's raging against Americans (Minnesota, LA, Chicago, etc), he's raging against the world (Greenland, Venezuela, Cuba, etc). Anyone that pisses him off is fair game. This is not how to run a super-power nation.

So people want 'transparency' from king donnie on Epstein. Well, he certainly was transparent with his taxes/financials, his health, his school records even. So whaddaya think we're gonna see this time around?

so fuck putin. . . who gave him a veto? when you're doing business with ass-holes it helps to be an ass-hole. . . put your big boy panties on and kick some putin ass! this is rediculous

So when will all these 'highly intelligent' elected leaders of ours begin to realize that at some point, cutting expenses is like cutting your hands off, and maybe--just maybe--the revenue side of the equation might need to be looked at??

Obama got a treaty with Iran. Trump killed it. There was the Pacific trade pact (TPP) which Trump killed. NAFTA was killed by Trump, and then he killed UMCA. We had an Immigration Bill all ready to go, and Trump killed it. . . so he could do what's happening in LA these days. This is Great?

So they're interviewing a Constitutional Law professor. . . and going into all the details of donnie's escapades, and how and when he goes out of bounds. . . and does he care? Personally, I don't think he gives a shit as to legality. If he can get away with it, he will. Period.

So maybe kinda technical question. . . but given the fragmentation of both of our political parties, can we somehow get out of this 'two party' crap? It obviously isn't working. . . coalition-seeking would seem to help immensely

Biden's cancer. . . people are screaming 'cover up' etc. . . It can be difficult to detect cancer initially. I've had 2 now that went at least 2 years prior to detection. And no way does his cancer affect mental faculties. He's an old man, let him be old. And he is a very wise old man.

Covid was a major event in recent history. It impacted all kinds of things in the world. .. it resulted in a 'new normal', although what exactly that 'normal' is hasn't yet been determined. But we had a 'soft landing' in our grasp. Now, 'Trump' has become a major event in recent history. ???

I look at Nvidia's and Apple's big announcements and Trump's enthusiasm and I'm reminded of how well Foxconn went for Trump and Walker here in Wisconsin. 'Slow Learners' perhaps?

The Constitution was written with the assumption that government participants would be participating on a good-faith basis. That's not true these days, and there seems to be no readily available remedy.

A lot of stink about the national budget situation. The Republican House is in disarray, the Republican House and the Republican Senate disagree on how to approach things. Lacking agreement--remember the Democrats--then the government 'shuts down'. That's what donnie's working on anyway! So??

Grifters and Oligarchs Party? or Trump Org of America? Either way, I blame McConnell to a very great degree. . . as far as recent guilty parties go anyway. . . there are certainly many more. . .

Our calling it 'fascism' is like them calling it 'socialism'. They're buzzwords and they're not productive. What it is . . . unbridled capitalism with a large dose of corruption tossed in. The Oligarchs love it.

So I've kinda always assumed that if people had really paid attention to donnie's 'platform', they wouldn't have voted for him. . . they just fell for the smoke and mirrors. . . was that a mistake?

donnie did pretty well announce his intentions. But the magats just see a self-confident face with an immediate answer for everything (fact is optional). They have no clue whatever else he might have said. A Dem response has to be in-your-face, because people do not do homework these days.

So the Democrats kinda seem lost right now. . . I would have 2 suggestions. . . 1) 'bipartisan' claims aren't helping, ya gotta take ownership, and 2) when you're doing business with ass-holes, it helps to be an ass-hole

Trump has thrived on debt (as well as delaying the judicial system). Is he really worried about the federal deficit? I'm thinking not. . . unused credit is the low-hanging fruit for the Grifters and Oligarchs Party.

So unbridled capitalism doesn't work. . . it lacks a social safety net. . . the same could be said of democracy. . . it lacks a safety net for when the masses become inured to alternate facts. . . ultimately, do we need a benevolent dictator?

You are up to date.
