Ever seen a puffin try to launch itself off the water? It's not graceful! Legs running across the surface, wings flapping like mad, and a whole lot of splashing! It’s a cross between a bird taking flight and a cartoon character running off a cliff. #wildlifephotography #on1pics #photography

This is a slightly different angle of a fairly well known waterfall taken during an early morning… Who knows which one it is? 🤔 #landscapephotography #on1pics #photography

Leave no trace. The trees are watching you! 👁️ #trees #photography #on1pics

Clouds doing cloud things ☁️ #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Hey you! Yeah, you! Looks like you could use a quiet moment of flowers today! 🌼 #garden #photography #on1pics

Can I show you my wings? I CAN?!? 🥰 #wildlifephotography #photography #on1pics

Shiprock is a very sacred place to the Navajo, but when the Aurora makes a rare appearance it becomes even more mystical #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Roads with a view are 1000% better! #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Always look up, especially this time of year! 🍂 #fall #naturephotography #photography #on1pics

Right place. Right light. And exactly the right moment to press the shutter and capture the color of the sunset backlit in the waves! #lighthouse #michigan #on1pics

Are these clouds that look like UFOs? Or UFOs that look like clouds? 🛸☁️ #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Good morning! Rise and shine! 🌞 #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

The last light of the day is always some of the most magnificent, especially when it isolates and paints one lone ridge! 🤩 #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

The big landscapes might be majestic, but the tiny ones can be just as exciting! 🍄‍🟫 #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics #mushroom

I humbly submit that backlit Fall colors are the best Fall colors! 🍂 #fallcolors #photography #on1pics

A river. Pretty, huh? #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Good Morning! Have a great Sunday! 😁 #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

Sometimes changing your perspective means getting down in the dirt. The iPhone makes a surprisingly great macro camera, especially for shots that would be tough with a full-size camera and lens. And, the forest looks pretty impressive from a mushroom’s point of view. #macrophotography #on1pics

Many people call this an Ermine, but it is really a Stoat. That's the name used when the animal has its brown summer coat, and ermine is the name used when it changes into its pure white winter coat. Technically, they are the exact same animal! #wildlife #wildlifephotogrsphy #on1pics

This Coastal Brown Bear was happily searching for salmon when he paused, then looked straight at me. For a moment, I feel like his mind was thinking “I’m tired of fish. I wonder what that meat sack with the camera tastes like!” 😋 #wildlifephotography #photography #on1pics

Heading to Alaska, I had one image in mind that I really wanted to capture, and it was a bear running through a river hunting salmon. Fortunately, this younger boy was not a great fisherman and gave me several opportunities to capture my dream. #wildlifephotography #on1pics #photography

Heading home from Alaska. Be prepared for a LOT of wildlife images in the coming days! This is not a drill, so be sure to prepare yourselves accordingly! 😂 #wildlifephotography #photography

Yesterday was amazing. What will today bring? 📷 Stay tuned for the camera photos #wildlifephotography #photography #bears

A light dusting of snow at Cedar Breaks. It was brutal cold with the wind blowing at the lookout, and I got out just in time. After the sun set the storm came with a vengeance, dumping several inches of snow and closing the roads! #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

There are a lot of places on earth that look like they could be in a Star Wars movie. This is one of them! Fess time, the sky was pretty dull for this epic location, so I composited in a much more dramatic shot to complete the sci-fi look. #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

When the monsoon rains turn a normally bone-dry lake bed into a real lake again, it’s time for some experimentation! #longexposure #photography #on1pics

Sunflowers make me happy. And Saturdays make me happy. So here’s a sunflower on a Saturday and I hope it makes you happy! 🙂 #flower #photography #on1pics

Anyone else a sucker for a lone tree photo? 🌳 This was shot on a foggy day with a street lamp in the background creating that cool blue tone. #photography #on1pics

World photography day. Waterfall Wednesday. So here’s a photo to celebrate both! #photography #on1pics #waterfall

Just outside of the Las Vegas Strip is a completely different world, one that few tourists ever experience #dronephotography #landscapephotography #on1pics

What am I up to this weekend? Oh, nothing much… Just hanging out! 😂 #bee #photography #on1pics

Even in an old abandoned town the ghosts need a bar to party at 👻👻👻 #astrophotography #photography #on1pics

Camera stores will be making bank tomorrow after people shooting the eclipse with a long lens pointed directly at the sun learn they needed special filters so the sensor didn’t become toast! (Photo from prior eclipse as we got nothing today where I live!) #photography #on1pics #eclipse

Late afternoon sun highlights a ridge along a rapidly receding Lake Powell. It’s a stark reminder of how dangerous the water situation in the West is becoming. #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics

The old miners sure had some great views, but they would have given almost anything for an air conditioner! 😂 #landscapephotography #photography #on1pics
