The government knows climate disasters are escalating - but today Labor announced a target of 62-70% by 2035. It’s weak, it’s dangerous, and it’s nowhere near what the science demands. #auspol #climatejustice

The climate impacts report is out. The only thing certain from this report is that heatwaves, major impacts to nature, and displacement due to sea level rise will become more widespread. Meanwhile, Advance is pushing to scrap net zero. #auspol #climatejustice

It's official – fossil fuel corporations have been directly linked to deadly heatwaves happening around the globe. But these corporations are still taking no responsibility for the climate disaster they're causing, often paying little or no tax. It's time to Make Polluters Pay.

Children are starving in Gaza. Aid is being blocked. Civilians are being killed. It’s time for Australia to act – not just with words, but with consequences. Australia must sanction Israel, recognise Palestine, halt weapon exports, and demand a permanent ceasefire.

The government is finally cracking down on dangerous childcare centres — proposing to give regulators power to strip funding when safety standards are breached. But here’s the problem: The profit-led system that allowed these failures to happen remains untouched.

That's why we're calling on the Albanese Government to finally end profit-led care and fund a public system that puts children first. Add your name to demand urgent reform and a public system that puts care before profit: www.getup.org.au/childcare-re...

Breaking: Labor just announced its intent to approve Woodside’s gas expansion. Environment Minister Murray Watt has given Woodside 10 days to respond but all signs point to final approval — a move that would make this Labor’s first major climate decision of their second term.

We’re not staying quiet. We'll only get louder. Over 6,000 people have now called on Environment Minister Murray Watt and Labor to reject Woodside’s plan to keep drilling for gas until 2070.

These messages come from every corner of the country — from people worried about floods, fire, and fossil fuels; about the impact on Country, and the future we owe to the next generation.

These messages come from every corner of the country — from people worried about floods, fire, and fossil fuels; about the impact on Country, and the future we owe to the next generation.

Close to 4,000 have already emailed Environment Minister Murray Watt, calling on him to stop Woodside’s plan to drill for gas until 2070. These are real messages, from real people, speaking from the heart about climate, about Country, and about the future we want to protect.

Deciding on the North West Shelf project is one of the Albanese government’s first major decisions of their second term and it will set the tone for their climate legacy.

Right now, communities on the NSW coast are underwater while others across the country are deep in drought. Emergency crews have scrambled to rescue people trapped by floodwaters while parts of SA, Victoria, WA and Tasmania face some of the driest conditions on record.

This is all unfolding into the first days of Labor’s second term — a moment that should mark a step up in climate ambition. As our hearts go out to everyone impacted, one thing is clear: climate chaos is here, and people already doing it tough are bearing the brunt.

PM Albanese just announced his new cabinet. The real test begins now: will this government act on the big issues or keep playing it safe? From cost of living to climate and truth-telling, these are just some of the urgent fights this new cabinet can’t ignore.

This election, voters sent a powerful message: people across the country want action on housing, healthcare and climate – not fear & division. Now the hard work begins: holding the Albanese Government account and making sure the government delivers for all of us. Let's do this.

Peter Dutton has zero meaningful policy reforms – just a plan to cut support, undermine First Nations leadership, and revive failed, punitive policies. We can’t let Dutton drag us backwards. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

For a party that claims to be strong on the economy, Dutton’s costings sure hit hard where it hurts — communities. #CostOfDutton #Auspol #ausvotes #WeCantAFfordDutton #DuttonCuts Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

How many election texts have you copped this week?! We couldn’t help imagining what the LNP’s messages would look like... if they were just a little more honest 👀 Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

Ever seen someone backflip, dodge and fumble their way through an election? Well, here you go. We dare you to watch Dutton's greatest hits without cringing 😬🍿 Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

For months, he's been fuelling fear against Palestinians – pushing visa bans, casting doubt on people fleeing war, and treating them like threat instead of humans in need of safety. This isn’t strength. It’s moral failure. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

It's people like Dutton who's protecting a system that keeps the rest of us locked out. 🏠 This election, let’s make it clear: This crisis ends when we stop voting for the people profiting from it. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

What communities need right now isn't more spin or a decade-away promise – they need leadership that backs the future they're already building. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney #auspol #ausvotes #CostOfDutton #DontRiskDutton #WeCantAffordDutton

You can put the candidate who reflects your values first, knowing your vote will always help decide who gets elected. That’s the power of preferences: your vote doesn’t disappear, it moves. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

If Dutton — a property investor himself — won’t even help out his own son, what hope is there for the rest of us if he’s elected? Thousands of people are locked out of the market, doing everything right, and still falling behind. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

They're up against a housing system rigged for property moguls like Dutton, with policies designed to push prices up on purpose. When politicians prioritise profits over people, this is what it looks like. This is the #CostOfDutton. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

From tax breaks for the wealthy to fear campaigns and climate denial, Peter Dutton is reheating the same failed Coalition policies that helped cause the cost of living crisis in the first place. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney

This election, let’s make sure Dutton’s playbook gets the response it deserves: overwhelmingly rejected by everyday people across the country. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney #CostOfDutton #wecantafforddutton #dontriskdutton #Auspol #Ausvotes

Who really benefits from this “friendship”? Certainly not communities and everyday people facing the consequences of climate disasters and soaring bills. This election, remember: Dutton’s not on our side. Authorised by D. Loasby, GetUp, 52 Reservoir St, Sydney
