Start working before you even have a repo open. GitLens can now surface ways to: • Open a folder • Clone a repo • Start a new project • Start work from an issue • Start reviewing a PR Pick an issue or PR and GitLens finds the repo locally or clone it for you when avail.

Working with stacked PRs? Rebase the entire stack at once. Rebase Stack automatically works its way from the bottom up, replaying each layer onto the one below it so nothing gets skipped. No more rebasing every branch manually.

And when conflicts show up, AI can take over. ✨ Auto-Rebase Stack uses AI to resolve conflicts throughout the stack. Resolve the conflict, hit Continue with Auto-Rebase, and GitLens picks it back up. When everything is ready, Force Push Stack lets you publish every rewritten branch together.

GitLens 🤝 Kepler You can now start a task or PR review directly in Kepler, GitKraken’s new ADE, from: • Commit Graph • Launchpad • GitLens views • Start Work • Start PR Review Kepler opens with the repo or PR already loaded and ready to go..

GitLens 19.2 is here! GitLens now speaks your language, and the Commit Graph gets even better for worktree workflows. Here’s what’s new 👇

A few more improvements: • Generate Changelog from multiple selected commits, even non-contiguous ones • Force Push now appears alongside Pull when a branch has diverged after a rebase or recompose • Commit file details can automatically load on demand in repos where loading them has been slow

GitLens 19.2 is here! GitLens now speaks your language, and the Commit Graph gets even better for worktree workflows. Here’s what’s new 👇

GitLens now follows your VS Code display language. Experimental support in: - Spanish - Simplified Chinese - Traditional Chinese Install the matching VS Code language pack and GitLens switches with it, falling back to English where translations aren’t available yet.

Worktrees now get their own Commit Graph context. With Scope to Worktree, you can re-point the entire Commit Graph at a specific worktree. That worktree becomes the context for: • Working changes • Branch + upstream status • Ahead/behind counts • Git actions

GitLens 19.1 is here 🦑 More coding agents in the Graph. Better worktree workflows. Smarter Git maintenance. Fixup commits + autosquash. And a new way to see the health of your repo. Here’s what’s new 👇

Also new in 19.1: • Rebuilt Git Command Palette confirmations • Smarter Graph search • Better branch + tag visibility • AI conflict resolution from Interactive Rebase • GitKraken AI usage meter in Settings • More controls for active agent sessions

More everyday Git workflows, without dropping back to the CLI. GitLens 19.1 adds: • Fixup commits directly from the Graph • Commit Fixup & Squash • Squash Fixups • Autosquash during rebases • Push Tag actions

GitLens now keeps your repos fast. It can safely refresh Git performance caches, pack loose objects, incrementally repack, and maintain the commit-graph in the background. There’s also a new experimental Repository Health visualization showing what GitLens recommends, why, and what it changed.

Live agent status now goes beyond Claude Code. Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI, and OpenCode sessions can now show up across GitLens, including the Agents side bar panel, Commit Graph working-changes (WIP), and the details panel. See what your agents are doing without losing your place.

Put any worktree to work without opening it. Start an agent session or run a VS Code task directly against a worktree. GitLens can also follow your active terminal and automatically select the matching worktree in the Commit Graph.

Agents can move the work. You stay in control. Your branches. Your worktrees. Your changes. Your agent sessions. Your reviews. Your commits. Connected to the repository context around them. One workbench for your development workflow.

🔀 Your PRs now live closer to the work behind them. Browse and focus open pull requests directly from the Commit Graph. Compare changes. Review with AI or an agent. Switch branches or open a worktree. Then merge when the work is ready. Less context reconstruction between Git and the PR.

Ship complex work in smaller, reviewable pieces. GitLens 19 brings stacked PR workflows into your IDE, so you can break larger changes into dependent branches and PRs that are easier to review & move forward. See how the stack connects, keep work organized, and manage w/o losing context.

✨ Take the manual work out of rebasing. Choose Automatic Rebase and GitLens can use AI to resolve, stage, and continue through conflicts from start to finish. It only stops when confidence drops or something actually needs you. Then review exactly what it did, w/ reasoning for every resolution.

⚡ When parallel work collides, resolve conflicts with context. AI-powered Resolve can use your repository to understand ambiguous conflicts, propose a resolution, and explain the reasoning behind it. You get the context. You review the fix. You stay in control.

🧩 Turn scattered changes into review-ready commits. AI-assisted Compose helps organize human or agent-generated work into clean, intentional commits directly from the Commit Graph. Shape the history so reviewers understand it and the next dev doesn’t have to reconstruct how the code got there.

🔍 Understand exactly what changed before moving forward. Compare commits, branches, revisions, or working changes directly from the Commit Graph. Validate the work, understand the differences, and make your next decision with the context right in front of you.

🤖 See all your work in one place. Track WIP across worktrees. See branches and working changes. Monitor supported coding agent sessions and know when something needs your attention. Human and agent work, connected in the Commit Graph.

👀 Uncover issues earlier. AI-powered Review helps surface what needs attention while the work is still fresh, before it becomes a massive PR. Dig deeper with follow-ups, then send the full review, a focus area, or an individual finding back to your coding agent.

The Commit Graph isn’t just for visualizing Git history anymore. 🪄 It’s where your development workflow comes together. See human and agent work across branches and worktrees, understand what’s changing, and move work forward without bouncing between views.

⚡ Smarter AI, less guesswork GitLens now makes model selection easier with: • Active model chips • Usage-rate indicators • Recommended models • Updated support for GPT-5.x, Claude 5, Gemini 3.x, Grok 4.5, DeepSeek V4, and more.

🛠️ Conflict resolution got a serious upgrade GitLens now identifies conflict types, provides inline resolution actions, shows confidence indicators, and gives side-by-side conflict history. Even previously unsupported conflict types are now handled much more intelligently.

✍️ Compose mode just got a major upgrade Curate commits with more control: • Reorder draft commits • Move files between commits with drag & drop • Regenerate specific commit messages • Open multi-diff changes directly from the file trees Less friction. Better commits.

💬 AI Review now supports conversations Instead of starting over, continue refining your review. Ask follow-up questions, iterate on suggestions, and send specific focus areas to your agent to address.

Merge conflicts, meet your match. GitLens 18.3 is out: AI works through your conflicted files in parallel, shows per-file confidence, and lets you push back on any resolution before it touches your tree. The stall that used to eat your afternoon now takes minutes. www.gitkraken.com/gitlens

Generating code was never the hard part. Flow is. Wyatt Baggett ran AI agents overnight, woke up to 17 branches, and had to figure out what actually shipped vs. what just looked done. Velocity without visibility isn't progress. It's just chaos with a head start. medium.com/@wyattbagget...

Your repo after a few weeks of coding agents: 🌿 branches everywhere 🤖 agents everywhere 📂 worktrees everywhere 😵 context nowhere GitLens 18 is our answer to that. The Commit Graph became a workbench for parallel development. 🧵
