Frinktober Day 27: The Dud This is a bit of a swing for the fences, concept-wise, but it should hit for those who remember the early years of Simpsons merchandise. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 26: Seeing Double! Four Krustys! POV: You're seeing double. There are four Krustys. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 25: Homer Simpson Trying to narrow down my favorite image of Homer was... well, even more painful than it looks. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 24: Parahormonal Activity Of course I turned this prompt into another excuse to draw a Jon Lovitz character. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 23: Never Stop The Simpsons Kinda disappointed that the video for that song is only still images... #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 22: Guy Incognito I'd like to think this is how the rest of his evening would have gone if he hadn't had that unfortunate run-in with those ruffians in that watering hole called "Moe's." #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 21: Get That Cat Out Of The Way It truly was a haunting experience for her. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 19: Cameo Appearance. I'm interpreting "cameo" in this sense as a short appearance by a celebrity/famous person as themself. Nevertheless, I still had to whittle down a sizeable list of my favorites to one that was, ultimately, Pure West. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 17: Jon Lovitz. Originally, I wanted to do the most obscure Lovitz-voiced character from the show, but that turned out to be a cigarette, which was kind of boring. So I did my favorite non-Critic Lovitz character: Professor Lombardo. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 16: Rock Band. 🎵 Happy Birthday, Burnsie, Happy Birthday TO YOU! 🎵 #frinktober #frinktober2026

Day 15: Bart Breaks Chair Over Homer. What do you think is going through his head in this moment? #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober's Day 13 prompt is "Season 1-10 Episode," so to be cheeky I chose a reference from Season 1, Episode 10 ("Homer's Night Out"). It's lounge singer Gulliver Dark, who--I just learned--was a character from "The Tracy Ullman Show." Talk about a deep cut! #frinktober2026 #frinktober

Frinktober Day 12: Sugar. TFW the sugar pile you've been nicking your sugar from gets melted in the rain. #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 11: Frank Grimes. People assume Grimes would be haunting Homer after he died, but who haunted whom first? #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 10 is a Free Space, so I drew the "Free Goo" scene from "Boy-Scoutz 'N The Hood." #frinktober #frinktober2026

Frinktober Day 9: House of Whacks. First time in this event I wasn't 100% certain of the reference, but I do remember this episode. Forgot that the robot house that tries to kill Homer is simply called Pierce, after its voice actor. They probably could've spent a little more time on the name...

Guess it's time to start posting actual art here. Rather than participate in Inktober, I'm choosing to join Frinktober. Here are Days 1 through 4. #frinktober #frinktober2026

It's genuinely funny to me that Ms. Rachel shows up in my social media feeds now as a diving figure simply because her stance is "stop killing children." To be clear, when I say "funny," I mean "deeply troubling and profoundly sad."

Had a horrible shower thought of a dystopian service in which bookstores are replaced with shelves containing cards that only have chatbot prompts instead of books. There's lots of shoplifting, but the one clerk doesn't care because the job is just their debtors' prison sentence.

Not sure if I'm the only one doing this, but I've been keeping a mental tally of which one I think is closest to happening: Civil War II, Great Depression II, or World War III.

Right now, Great Depression II is in the lead, but that's only because we're still a couple months away from November. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is being very (some might say excessively) patient with us, so WWIII is trailing.

I'm noticing that the ads for scam products (super vitamins, super affordable miracle computer equipment, magic glasses, etc.) are being made of ai slop more often. Now I, as a consumer, am starting to equate slop with scam. So I guess it is good for one thing.

I was going to the store to buy school supplies for the kids, and I needed apples and disinfectant as well, so I added a couple more items to the side of my list. Looking over it later, I got the inspiration for a great new snack product:

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you. I was walking down the street of my hometown when my mother's maiden name nearly ran over my first pet with the make and model of the first car I owned. My favorite sports team took me to the hospital, which was named after my favorite band.

Nicolas Cage as John Madden. Nicolas... Cage... as John Madden. I'd never avoid watching a movie because Nicolas Cage is in it, and I'd never not be interested in Nicolas Cage playing any part in a movie. But there's a quality to any Nic Cage casting that I can't quite put my finger on...

I think... whatever character he plays, it's both deeply wrong and sublimely perfect at the same time. And I don't think any other actor of our generation achieves that.

Just saw an ad on YT for Tetra goldfish flakes, and I honestly think the only reason Tetra would bother advertising at all is to get people to think: "Is there even another brand of goldfish flakes?" Probably the most effective ad I've seen in decades.

I've been on Bluesky for a while now, and haven't come up with a proper "first post." But screw it: I just watched the video to "Never Gonna give You Up" again for the first time in years, and I gotta say that the bartender is my favorite character from it.

He goes from "low-key chillin'" to "bustin' out my best dance moves" so quickly it makes Rick Astley three times cooler by association.

You are up to date.
