i think I'm just going to combine the 2 separate projects I've planned into 1. meaning no two hands ep; literally the only 2 tracks will be swapped to Beyond the world. ii same premise, same atmospheres, but split sections, winding down to something more depressive.

It's still experimental, it will still have some down points (pure ambience), but making it multi-genre to include downtempo beats and other atmospheric adjacent styles. maybe even synthwave lol. Less tracks, but longer track lengths. (5-7 minutes so far with the odd 4 mins)

The original concept for Beyond the world was meant to be based around the weird landscapes/metaverse of MiSide, but now I want to expand it to several compiled themes from other media I like. Hotline Miami, DDLC, VA-11 HALL-A, etc. With 2, it's a lot more versatile that way.

I got the mysterious album Slipknot made that had finally been released on RSD, "Look Outside Your Window", written around the same time as "All Hope Is Gone". Seems to only be a physical exclusive. This is vastly different from the iconic nu metal sound they did. for what it is, it's decent!

the next part of 'Beyond the world.' (ambient series) will take a more personal turn. it's still based off strange atmospheres, but in this one, i added more of my own personal emotions based on what i went through. still need some time to think about how to arrange/sequence it.

god it's been a month. I had so much stuff in the way that i barely had time to catch up on ZZZ. still just as beautiful as the day i lost it.. 🥹🥹

asking on here in case someone knows is religious psychosis a real thing? i'm trying to gain a better understanding of psychosis as a whole, as well as mental detachment. i've been so confused and scared, there are no distinct patterns i can recognise.

"when i can't even read my own feelings what good are words when a smile says it all? and if this world won't write me an ending what will it take just for me to have it all?"

why do i feel a deep longing over something that doesn't even exist?

sample origin/video teaser it's already 4 and a half minutes long, unsure if i want to put this out as a single or have it be part of a broader project under the same name.

"godless earth" a concept i had been thinking about all day

i need a big poster of revy from black lagoon so i can put it up on the door in my new room no bedroom is ever complete without a pin-up poster fr.

sorry for kinda vanishing ahahaha.... just been enjoying my vacation for a bit. but, I'm slowly starting to prep for the move. whole apartment needs to be floored, appliances need to be bought, and furniture needs to be moved by the end of the month. here is my new room.

it kinda has the same layout as my old one, so I'll just make my set up the exact same way. ez. it'll make me feel less homesick, I think.

picked up my first comp CD from the Moving Shadow label! this one is 'Storm From The East' from 1996, with tons of great, old atmos dnb/jungle :D

i've had the chance to enjoy my new pair of ATH-R50x's properly, and I can confidently say that, for 170e, these are possibly the best first pick for open-backs for me. not only are these good as studio reference headphones, it's surprisingly lightweight (~200 g), it enhances longevity by having-

this is also really beneficial. its open, lightweight design helps me wear them more comfortably for longer periods. i was thinking of getting open-fit/open-back IEMs too for outdoor use. i've been sticking with the Apple EarPods (I can't use my Moondrop Chu 2s for long), and for 20e, it impressed-

each other. although I did notice a huge difference compared to my last pair (Beyerdynamics are notorious for making their headphones really bassy), having that near-flat sound actually helped a lot during production and voice processing. no more guessing if the bass is too quiet or too loud.

i bought the ATH-R50x's simply because i wanted to improve my ear health. since the major infection, i've taken precautions, and since open-backs help ventilate air through the headphones, it prevents air sealing, meaning no moisture can be trapped in the ears, leading to no bacterial growth.

as for sound: it takes 50 ohms, which is great for low-powered interfaces such as mine, the Komplete Audio 1s. I used to run a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770s at 250 ohms, and it was barely enough for loud volume (knob dialed at the absolute max). listening experience is great! as reference pairs,

they're designed to be balanced and more spacious. i've taken a look at the frequency response graphs when compared to the HD600s, and while my pair has just a subtle U-shape with *just* a small bit of increased bass and treble, the sound was not uncomfortable to me; none of the ranges overpowered-

-a detachable cable, making it perfect and easy for swaps/repairs without the trouble of resoldering the entire cable. they're also really comfortable with the velour pads (safer than faux leather since they don't crumble overtime) on the ears and head, and the metal frame ensures durability.

i can't believe i spent an entire summer healing from a bad ear infection, almost makes it feel like i completely wasted it all when that time coulda been spent making music or smth. makes me feel sad thinking about it now. but, at least i'm back on my feet now, rather than never.

i'm trying to make something that's a little more jungly, kinda like what you'd hear in one of those 90s comps. i remember listening to Intense a lot when starting, so that's my main source of inspiration for now. the problem is that i'm good at making melodies, but shit at executing them and--
