A really fun game to play with any scifi media that just presents all dialog in the language the media is being made in (instead of having conlang alien dialog) is to try to decide what language people are actually speaking in any given scene.

Today I am thinking about B5 and the fact that G'kar is almost certainly fluent in the Centauri language (and Londo probably has at least a little Narn), but I bet their private conversations through most of the series were in English as neutral ground

I'm going to try to take my time a little more with my next game project (we'll see if that works or if I start getting antsy three weeks in.) Among other things, I actually wanna do digitally drawn character art this time, which is a little pulling teeth for me

I am mentally rotating the project and going, could I realistically sculpt and photograph backgrounds? What kind of scale would I need to work at to make that feasible, and do I have enough Apoxie left to make that work? Or could I just fake it with cardboard?

Fully convinced Barbossa did what he did at the end just to avoid having to have a serious conversation with people

Fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie report: VERY silly, seems to have forgotten several pieces of its canon in dubious service to its dubious plot, we have descended to the level of flanderized self-parody, but the villain’s design is cool as hell and they once again made me care about some hets.

And if I were local to her, I could do so much. I am someone with food aversions who eats so many things. I spent ten years widening the palette of a roommate through the power of just being not shitty about it (+you can just try it off my plate without committing to it in any way)
