Another mass detention of activists in the West Bank, this time in Masafer Yatta. No mass detentions of Israeli settler terrorists. Instead, activists who came to help Palestinians harvest their olives are the ones being detained.

White House sources explain the change mainly due to the great weight that President Trump gave to the assessments and intelligence that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth presented to him upon his return from the meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu.-Haaretz

The republican on the ticket for my legislative district is retiring right before election day. I'm apprehensively happy. A little worried there is some kind of scheme in it.

God dammit... He's resigning because the Secretary of State Office hired him as the new legislative director. Knew there was something about it.

I don't know if the SoS has direct control of this hiring, but it's not alleviating concerns that Democrats are enabling Republicans. Republicans are destroying everything. Why put them in charge of the legislative agenda? Especially when Democrats are seeing a surge.

Theater in my town has showings of You Can See Everything finally on the board in the next few days. Still no Musk. I assume they realized YCSE can be conservative fodder.

I need to figure out how to start a theater. Pretty sure the theaters in my area are run by conservatives (either directly or by way of being who the selection is catered to) and nothing good ever gets played here. There was a single showing later this week for YCSE that is just gone now.

NA beer has gotten better availability at my grocer. Didn't even know Stella made a 00. Now if they would properly classify it as a soft drink in their system so it's not a hold up waiting for someone to come check ID when they aren't running any registers.

If someone is handed an olive branch and they start stripping it down to a switch, it is unreasonable to expect the giver of the branch to leave their sword at their side. They should raise it, ready to defend themselves.

One year ago, community members in Wilder, Idaho gathered for a family event on a Sunday afternoon. The event ended with 200 law enforcement agents violently detaining 400 people, including children and U.S. citizens. Watch our new documentary out now on our YouTube channel.

Feels like the inflation is intentional with the goal to price people out of their voice. If people are struggling to financially meet their needs they are unable to support organizations that fight for civil rights.

🧵 A few things I learned during my protective presence in the West Bank today. 1. Many Palestinians have a very limited control over where they can go, there’s more than 800 checkpoints and blockades in the WB and most Palestinians cannot get past any of them. It means that most Palestinians have

Been noticing the weirdest thing when I go to a family members. My laptop has issues, but the touchpad is never an issue. Every time the past month I've visited and used my laptop on their network the touchpad seems to become nearly unusable. Get home, and there is no problem.

I need to know more about surplus funds I think, but it seems weird to me that the Republicans running in my area have moved almost half of their funding into surplus funds, and the Democratic candidates haven't. Also the latters c4 reports are way more detailed.

Look, AI-detection companies do the worst thing you could possibly do: They do a loop between training and the test set, until they get the test set right. And then they pretend that generalizes That's iterative p-hacking. It's making the numbers look better, while the results get worse.

I’m especially frustrated by the piece uncritically repeating Pangram’s “no false positives” claim when I know writer friends who have run their own work through & had it flag their 100% human-written sentences as machine-generated. We must doubt any company’s claim about its product having 0 fails.

I feel like there are 2 people when it comes to I, Robot. The person who reads the end and sees it as aspirational, and the person who reads the end and sees it as a warning of what could happen.

I, Robot is not the book I was expecting at all with only having seen the movie. So much more interesting, but I guess not enough fighting and explosions. It would make a fantastic 9 episode limited series. I assume the movie pulls more from the other robot works, which I intend to read.

My Gordon Lightfoot record makes me feel like the Fonz. It has a skip loop in that's what friends are for that a good fist slam next too the player fixes.

listenin too the second disk of Srawberry Jam. And Like I'll be me. I'll shave so many folk. I'lll shave them all. Legs, faces I don't give a heck. All the shaving.

Learning to shave with a straight razor and if the barber has the razor across your throat like a still from Sweeney Todd get out of there if you can.

we have the availability of life like manequines that can bleed. Why don't we have the classic straight razor shave offered in more hair shops. They can train too the degree of having a trained reaction for when a sneeze is coming. The comforts of a classic shave are great. Deny known fash tho

Razor ready for the morning. Razor so precise it can slice standard paper gently and leave the opposite side untouched

was wondering why the knife didn't feel super sharp like expected. checked my stuff and found I finished with the 220 block. I need to check what I'm using till I know know the colors.

If you have an issue with extreme razor rash using a traditional razor, and want a shaved face, try a safety razor and if that doesn't work, and you trust your hand, try a straight razor. I'm knicking myself all over starting, but I've not had a hint of rash with the straight.

I may not be great at using a straight razor (so many knicks), but I can say I tried my hand at sharpening one and am happy with the results.

Can't sleep and I've drunk so much. I got a violin on the way from Ireland. Great price, though there was a damn Trump charge. Great to support the craftmanship of McNeela.
