Wow! I'm just looking at my next project after a while away from coding. When I left PHP8.4 had just been released, & now I'm looking at a potential PHP8.6 on the horizon! I last use Laravel when it was version 10, and I've never created an API focused project before, so I need to do some research!

I’ve been through a lot worse than anything Donald Trump or Pete Hegseth can throw at me. And I'm not backing down, because this isn't about me — it's about you and every American's First Amendment right.

@akilstokesrtm.bsky.social Hey Akil, I just wanted to check to see if you use BlueSky, or whether it's just an auto cross-feed that publishes it to here. Would love to pick your brain Thanks John (Grandad)

Peckphp! What a package, so easy to use. Love it! One run, couple of typos, now gone! Thanks @nunomaduro.com ! github.com/peckphp/peck

Was he paid to show up at the town hall with Kansas Senator Marshall (who got up and walked away when asked about veterans/DOGE?). This is worth watching from Chuck Nunn vimeo.com/1062230334/6...

How much of an absolute toddler is Trump to demand an apology. Just so small

A major Norwegian fuel company is refusing to provide fuel to U.S. warships after the “shitshow” in the White House yesterday over Ukraine. This is the way. ukdefencejournal.org.uk/norwegian-fu...

"This is why I kept this going for so long..." - Dick Trump. He wanted to make a public fool out of Presedent Zelenski

I'm so mad right now. President Zelensky walked into a planned ambush by Trump & his pet. Trump plannedfor the media coverage to be there when it blew up as he actually hinted at. I wish I could go over to Ukrain and fight for good.

@georgetakei.bsky.social I've said it before & I'll say it again; I think Putin has got something on Trump - for a start twice the I.Q.; the KGB training (& everything that goes with it). The question is... what else does he have on him?

A member of Russia’s state-owned news agency gained access to the Oval Office for President Trump’s sit-down with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky – even as the AP and Reuters were barred from the high-level meeting.

I can't stand bullies. President Zelensky is now trying to stand up against two of them. We should have his back. #SlavaUkraïni

Says it all.

4 bloody hours, and I still can't get my computer to boot. For some reason I can't get it to recognise the name drive (although it works fine from USB Live installation). I'll have small break then back to it

Ok. For the past 2 hours I've been trying to get my system back up and running. I thought I had it a minute ago when "nvme" was moving from the GRUB modules... But alas not

Hey, Everyone... Happy New Year! Final backup is now complete, and it's time to re-install Arch Linux :-)

And yet here we are.

Elon’s politics are disturbing.

Destroy this myth. Please share if you have visited and researched in a library this past year! RT And give a shout out to your favorite library you have ever visited.

Tech support? Naa here is a pro tip to get the free ChatGPT subscription 😂 Turing test can go to the dev null 😂

Okay one more. I love this energy from the young Dems.

😅

It's perfectly okay to admit "I don't know" when faced with tech challenges or problems at work. Recognizing our limitations, even while constantly connected, is a valuable trait. Just saying…

I can't believe I've only just discovered the TMUX Plugin Manager (github.com/tmux-plugins...)

Indeed.

I have to say, that the new video with Coldplay & Dick Van Dyke is absolutely brilliant. A work of art! www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4Ol...

The secret to testing? Having good factories. #laravel

Dick Van Dyke, who turns 99 next week, appears in a brand new longform music video for the Coldplay song “All My Love,” dancing barefoot, singing alongside Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and performing some physical comedy.

Hopefully, everything's changed over automatically for all of my 3 or 4 followers, but those who were following @grandadevans.bsky.social should now be following me at @grandadevans.com

...and just after I finish posting on the Mayan EDMS forum about my problem, one of my cats is chased into a corner, where he proceeds to empty his bowels onto the wires of my network/surge protector/thermostat, you name it. It'll take me half a day to get to it to start clear-up. #Bollocks!

Great, I've just realised that I've accidentally deleted the DB container/volume for Mayan EDMS. Luckily all the uploaded files are there so I could always upload the 1,300+ files again manually in a fresh app. I only hope the forum can come up with a few ideas, but I doubt it #Mayan-EDMS #MayanEDMS

Might just be posting to find this for myself on my next Laravel project. Don't forget to go to your phpunit.xml file and un-comment the DB_CONNECTION. This way your test don't wipe you database. Ensure you add your uses(RefreshDatabase::class) to your test and your good to go. #laravel #pest #php

At some point soon, I'll need to move from Manjaro back to Arch Linux, I only installed it after my Arch system went down & I needed an instant desktop OS. I can' wait to get back to #ArchLinux though:-)

Trump doesn’t care about most of the government. What he wants is control of the centers of real power: Defense, Intelligence and Justice. That’s how Russian autocracy began. Senate GOP: This is a road you do not want to head down. Reject the Trump nominees.

Trigger a MAGA: Zelensky is four times the man Trump ever could dream to be

So, this morning, I've gotten dev containers fully working in PHPStorm & watched last nights Snooker. Now it's time to watch this afternoon's Snooker, and go through my test coverage.
