Kavanaugh wrote the language suggesting that stopping someone based, in part, on their race or ethnicity is permissible, in a concurring opinion in Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo.

You want a day honoring victims of political violence? That's great, but it has to include victims from any side of US politics, for example the Minnesota legislators who were assassinated a few months ago.

I'm still hearing, occasionally, a lament that "you should've voted for Kamala", whoever that "you" is. 235 days have passed and nobody can go back to change the result. Not on November 6th and not now. Telling people what they should have done helps nothing.

@sanders.senate.gov You gotta know that a big reason Dr King's non-violent strategy was effective is that it was the alternative, the better option. The implicit risk of a violent reaction to society and government ignoring the demands of a movement gives non-violence power.

Not saying that violent rebellion would have succeeded - it would have failed and and it would have hurt people it meant to help. But without the risk of violence it's so much easier to ignore the non-violent movement.

Many of them are from ICE or other DHS branches, but more than a few are from other agencies: Secret Service, ATF, even a few Diplomatic Security Service officers have been spotted. They aren't a single police agency with clear chain of command a particular mission like immigration enforcement.
