Giant Bomb lives! Fandom has sold the site to us and it is now fully independent and employee-owned. We'll see you all on Tuesday for the Giant Bombcast. For more info right now, head over to www.giantbomb.com/join

Without saying The Legend of Zelda, fav NES game?

Only 1 game should release per day of the year. 365 is still a lot of options but a lot more manageable than having 2-5 come out close to each other that I’d want to play. It’d also help to say “Zelda ONLY releases today” or “GTAVI ONLY today”.

Switch 2 and Mario Kart World preordered! Bounced back and forth from GameStop and Walmart but Walmart came through just now! Hyped

My first RPG was Final Fantasy for the NES. I was pretty young and had no idea what I was doing at the time and struggled to make sense of combat. Always stopped at marsh cave for the crown. Some years later I got Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars and it just clicked. Loved RPGs ever since.

Post a GIF of an N64 game.

Ah cool cool just got to my first puzzle in blue prince which is completely unsolvable because of my colorblindness. Had to call in my fiance to point out something was a hue of pink that doesn’t register to me. Love that feeling so much yesiree.

Damnit

I can’t believe it took me 15 years to finally play Xenoblade Chronicles. Totally worth it!

I have been Switch 2 Directed

Happy Nintendo Switch 2 Direct day! See you on the other side.

My unreal hopes for Nintendo Switch 2: - Animal Crossing X Pokémon game - A “Super Smash Bros” MOBA - StarTropics returns as a mix between Zelda and Uncharted - Zelda 2 Remake along the lines of Ocarina of Time mixed with Dark Souls - USB C screen attachment for DS/3DS games - Street Pass

Fingers crossed the Nintendo Switch 2 gives us Mario Maker 3 but I’d also love to see them give us an official Zelda maker with more than just dungeon creation.

Define your music taste in 6 artists: 1. Cold 2. Thrice 3. Chevelle 4. Norma Jean 5. Deftones 6. For the Fallen Dreams

Both great Metroidvanias. Buy them to support so we get a third!

I think I’m in love with all of the Xenoblade Chronicles 1 cast. Over 1/2 way done now and it’s been pretty great! #xenoblade

Started Xenoblade Chronicles on Switch today. Gotta see my boy Shulks game through.

Played through the rest of Super Mario Odyssey with my niece and then was asked by family to play through Super Mario 1 2 and 3 on NES today. It was a fun Mario platformer day!

Bloodborne is cool so far youtu.be/lfkyWtc2NHI

As much as I enjoyed Hollow Knight and thought I’d feel the same for Nine Sols, it’s not clicking for me. I’m not enjoying how much emphasis they put on parrying and something about the character Yi’s movements feel off. Hope this doesn’t mean Sekiro is a no go when I get to it.

Phantasy Star Online was such a great time on the Dreamcast and GameCube

Year

I am at the door to the final dungeon of Octopath Traveler 1 to get the TRUE ending and man… pretty hyped to see how it ends up. Five of the eight characters I’ve really come to love and I’ll be sad to say goodbye to them when I finally finish it tomorrow. #rpg #sauareenix #octopathtraveler

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas yesterday if you celebrated. If not, I hope you at least had a day to relax with a good drink and fun game to play.

My steam wishlist is too large. A lot of big sales though! Debating if this is the time I move all future purchases over from Xbox and PlayStation to Steam and Nintendo only.
