Tonight I was terrific at darts so I'm treating myself to some Radiohead. OK Computer is the soundtrack to my late teens and early twenties. What an album, musta heard it a million times and I still love it โค๏ธ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OK_Comp...

Scotland must put people and planet before the profits of money-hungry corporations. As the human and economic costs of extreme weather grow, governments need to face reality and begin taking the climate crisis seriously.
We were talking about tunes and oor Neneh Cherry came up. Totally different to my usual but I loved her back in the day. Complicated lyrics and cool beats. She recorded a song for Palestine last year. Good egg youtu.be/JWsRz3TJDEY?...

OH yes because this is exactly what we need We have more food banks than ever before, a crumbling NHS, a decaying infrastructure, but our fuckwit Govt says we need this Chancellor says government to commit hundreds of millions to develop โdistinctively Britishโ approach to AI Makes my piss boil.
I for one am totally gobsmacked that Trump would be erratic and wreak havoc with worldwide consequences, and all those scientists telling us we will actually die out if we don't stop pumping carbon into the air were actually correct! Thank fuck I'm not prime minister eh ๐คท

Having the most lovely time with my daughter. She's bang into music and asked who I liked when I was young. I bought a "Swingin Ladies of Jazz" album when I was 18 and Peggy Lee was on it. I absolutely adored her, like soothing honey on the brain. Junior approves ๐ค youtu.be/8oxS25Pga2Q?...
My kids maw is a Special Needs teacher in a specialist school. She needs every second of planning time and the two half days Mccrone time (in Scotland) let her prepare lessons so they can be a valuable as possible for the kids. UK is obsessed with work hours rather than quality
I'm the ideal person to lecture teachers on hard work, since Iโm usually too busy with my 12 side grifts to bother turning up for the full-time job Iโm paid to do and because I had the 4th worst attendance record out of 751 MEPs in the EU Parliament.
I don't drink* and this "lad" bullshit is getting on my tits. It took me a good 25 years to stop drinking fully. I'm prone to addiction unfortunately and all my pals are boozers. BritCulture dictates that you must drink to enjoy yourself, no exceptions! *Even if I did I couldn't afford it
Andy Burnham has suggested people could have 'a glass or two' of wine to help them through an emergency, as he defended UK Government advice for households to stockpile essential supplies

Absolutely! The poor animals are infested with lice, and I mean covered to the point that their bare flesh is exposed. Lice are parasites and one or two are normal on a wild fish but their populations explode . Salmon swimming round in a net are an easy target. They then infest wild fish. Disgusting
Ewwwโฆ Iโd give Scottish farmed (aka โresponsibly sourcedโ sic) salmon a pass. Gives me the ick... #SeaLice #ProjectSlingshot
My primary school in Barrhead used to get free tickets for St Mirren at the old Love Street in the 80s. It was absolutely magical and amongst my favourite memories of childhood. The smell of baccy and booze, seeing Tony Fitzpatrick in real life, peeing in a swinging trough, the floodlights. ๐
Match day at Firhill Stadium, Glasgow. Home of Partick Thistle since 1909.
Here's my favouritist memory! I was at this as a 7 year old with my dad. The most amazing day at the old Hampden., then the bus back to Paisley for the parade. It was absolutely joyous ๐ youtu.be/clbYw-O7gKU?...
How in the name of ever living fuck do those of us at the bottom stockpile? When the pandemic hit you couldn't even get bog roll in Aldi because those with money hoarded the supplies. My ex Mrs and I borrow off each other several times a month to keep our kids fed. I'm forever grateful we get on

Another fuckin demand. Going by all the out in the open evidence available, I doubt very much that the demand will be met. I demand independence, not pleading with a foreign government to treat us a bit better. Fuck off John
BREAKING: John Swinney has demanded the UK Governmentโs new North Sea Energy Wealth Fund be ringfenced for the north east of Scotland He welcomed the move in a letter to Andy Burnham, but questioned why the initial ยฃ2 billion represents 'only around half' of last yearโs North Sea revenues
Climate change will kill us as a species. Why is that so hard for a government to understand? Renewables are a massive "growth" industry, the very word Labour have been banging on about since Starmer. Yet they ignore it for pointless & deadly fossil fuel extraction. Silly country the UK
The Energy Secretary says North Sea drilling โwonโt take a penny off energy bills.โ The Health Secretary says summer heatwaves put pressure on the NHS. So whereโs the Governmentโs impact assessment? If they donโt have one, they should delay the decision on drilling for oil & gas until they do.
I've seen a few bits about this today and they're at pains to include the devolves administrations every time they mention UK govt failures. Despite the fact they prioritised PPE for England over Scotland etc. The prime minister was a caricature of a toff at the time too. What hope did we have?
The care sector was โan afterthoughtโ during the Covid-19 pandemic with failings allowing the virus to โspread like wildfireโ and resulting in thousands of deaths despite the claim there was a protective ring around care homes, the inquiry has found
Blues is my favourite genre, really old scratchy stuff all the way back to Robert Johnson & Howlin Wolf who both inspired the Black Keys. There's a lot of good " modern" blues bands about and this is one of em ๐ธ ๐ค youtu.be/a_426RiwST8?...
When I shut down my small business I had to pay every single penny I owed, quite rightly, and I did. My business was worth nothing in the end.Brexit absolutely fucked any chance it had. Yet these bastards can build up billions in debt & still pay dividends? They should be serving jail time

I watched this and it was absolutely chilling. The essence of British politics is- lie your way into power then unleash the worst policies you can think of. I'm not easily shocked but they were talking openly about murdering immigrants. Inhuman bastards
ITV footage shows racist, sexual, violent rhetoric among Reform members. These lunatics say โKing Charles is a f***ing Muslimโฆ " and want him to be beheaded. They want concentration camps for migrants, violence against minorities. Return of the Nazis, 100 years after the Cable Street resistance.

It's a "raid" when it comes to profits, but it's a "saving" when it comes to the disabled. I remember the bank charging me 20 quid a day for an unarranged overdraft as a skint twenty something. They've fed off the poor long enough. Eat the rich ๐ค
I assume by "raid" they mean slight diminution of their obscene profits? ๐ค www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I stopped paying the BBC licence fee about 5 years ago. The media in Scotland doesn't represent us as people. Even STV pumps out unionist click bait.
