A friend asked if I could share how I make decisions on how I voted on my California ballot for the November election. I start by opening a note in Obsidian to put all my information in one place. I will list links to ballot guides and voter resources below...

I wrote ten postcards each for four different campaigns while listening to Max Brooks' WORLD WAR Z (2006). Will mail these out tomorrow morning, before the Tuesday deadline. Volunteer at postcardstovoters.org

I'm now caught up on all four seasons of REACHER and NEAGLEY. ❤️ Great shows, though they can get intense.

Wow. Only desserts higher in calories are the Carrot Cake, the Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake, and the Godiva Chocolate Brownie Sundae that "serves 2-4." 😳 www.thecheesecakefactory.com/assets/pdf/N...

I can vouch for the entire POORCRAFT series. Helpful, actionable advice in a friendly graphic novel format. 💖

Oh, WILDWOOD opened yesterday. 😍 I love LAIKA. 🥰

My local S.A.F.E. Center reopened in July, so I've been hauling e-waste out of my apartment again. I swear, cables BREED when left alone in a heap. 😓

This went places I did not expect

BallotTrax is the best. 🥰

Great 🧵

I did the thing.

I went to Forneris Farms for more tomatoes, green beans and garlic. Today's special was homegrown key limes at $3/bag, so I bought a bag of those, too.

CalMatters put together interactive quizzes for our 14 state ballot propositions. They also have detailed information on each proposition, but I like this quiz format. calmatters.org/california-v...

Today I Found Out™ that FBX does not support Maya's animated Joint Orient attributes. FBX supports STATIC Joint Orientation values, but animation gets tossed. Not a problem if you know about it...but you must know about it.

Some old drawings of a young Wonder Woman I did while working on my Black and Gold short story.

I know why I *should* exercise, but I need more than *logic* and *reason* to motivate me to exercise. 😅 So, I watch cartoons on the elliptical. Can recommend WITCH HAT ATELIER (2026).

I went to Forneris Farms for poop-free produce today. I bought a basket of tomatoes, a bag of green beans, a sweet onion, a yellow onion, a red pepper and a head of garlic for $23 (cash only). All grown on-site. The tomato sandwich I made with Kewpie mayo was so yum. 🥹

Kaiser Permanente SoCal has the newest flu and COVID shots in stock. I got my flu shot last week. Walked to the nearby Kaiser center with my spouse earlier this week for his flu shot and learned that they just got stocked with Pfizer. So we both got Pfizered, too. 💉

This is why I got MMRs #4 and #5 in August and September last year after flunking my titer test AGAIN (I got MMR #3 in 2019 after flunking a measles titer, but a single booster didn't "stick" for me).

I feel this. ❤️

In grim times, celebrate the wins. For cis people, this was an attempt at FORCED medical detransition. It's the equivalent of you being to take medicines and undergo medical treatments AGAINST YOUR WILL to remake your body in ways that would horrifyingly violate your sense of self.
