They say “All is well that ends well.” I do not know how this will end. I simply know I am not well now.

Idk maybe computers can feel. My game auto reset all settings to high and crashed. I feel like a game committing suicide like that is relatable to the human experience. A lil OD to kill the pain.

Got into my 115 degree car and started makin sounds like “ugha, wagh, huh, aagh” like a video game character taking poison damage

I don’t have weeds in my garden. Weeds are just plants people don’t want growing in a specific place, and all plants are welcome in my garden* *for now.

Im js the Epic Cycle (including Iliad and Odyssey) is a poetic oral retelling of true events. It’s how the Mycenaean Greeks warred with Troy (and Lukka and Hatti?) at the time of severe environmental distress (drought, earthquakes, etc) kicking off the “Bronze Age Collapse”

I subscribe to the idea that the “trojan horse” is symbolism for the earthquake sequence that destroyed Troy and other Anatolian cities.

I just spoke to Mitch McConnell for about 20 minutes on the phone today. He said that he received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada. Even now, he is making preparations for Sadaqah Jariyah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his prophet!

I’m so Reddit-pilled (and I barely use Reddit) I thought this was saying Kat “Abagazala” was 16 years old and the vehicle was 17 years old

EveningStarNM@eveningstarnm.bsky.social

"(16)... Kat Abagazala placed herself in the front (17) of the vehicle. She pushed on the front of the (18) vehicle with her hands and body to prevent the car (19) from continuing." A literal Superwoman, she is.

“Did those people in ~historical event~ know they were living through significant times?” Yes, everyone who’s ever lived has thought they lived in significant times.

Just overheard a colleague refer to the “Romance Languages” as the “Love Languages” and a small part of me is screaming

My only qualm with hyphening last names is, how does that work with future generations? If Jane Smith-Doe marries Karen Stevens-Brown does she take the name Jane Smith-Doe-Stevens-Brown? And then her son John Smith-Doe-Stevens-Brown marries Jill Schumacher-Gibbons-Fraye-Walker does he take the name

John Smith-Doe-Stevens-Brown-Schumacher-Gibbons-Fraye-Walker? I’m sorry I don’t want my great-grandchild to have 16 last names their child to have 32, their child to have 64 etc

I don’t have no writer’s bonafides, but what makes a good story? Breathes life into a setting? What gives life in any work of art? Conflict. Friction. Life is conflict in all it’s excitement, all it’s horror. Its base pleasures, fears, desires, hopes, and pain.
