#AKOTSK has had some tremendous performances, but I feel like the faithful adaptation we keep hearing about would have had “the entire line “Kill him! The character assassination of Morgaze in the first scene was gratuitous and another sign that the writers don’t understand the characters. Still I like the seeds of the coup.

I did like that they had her reveal to Rand that Lanfear was torturing her I her dreams. But that was the only good thing in that scene. They had Rand look like a douche. He’s not a douche. He’s a kid trying to figure things out, who has started to figure some things out. The dialogue was 🤮. Then…

It ends with him trying to do the impossible. Rand isn’t stupid. Why. Why why why. Sure have him break down. Better yet don’t have him kill an effing child. Man, F@<# this episode !!!

But C’mon man. We’ve waited most of three seasons for Rand to do much of ANYTHING and then they give us this batch of half baked cow pies? WTF. You just established that he is fighting the one power to be in control constantly, then you have him nonchalantly destroy a building and 🥞 a little girl …

This is seriously the most disappointing scene of the entire series so far. Why is it that they can’t have him do something cool! He met Lanfear and fought Rahvin in Rhuidean in the books & it was epic. Not some nonchalant 💩 and no dead 👶. The actual book story was good. Why 🗑️ it? Then, Egwene ….

I do like how the dream sequences with Lanfear lead to Egwene meeting the Aeil dreamwalker wise one, Amys. Still the Renna scenes are gross and needless. These are not the droids you are looking for. Move Along. I am warming to prematurely going to the Aiel waste.

Really good tho that they are finally getting Matrim’s character right & actually developing him. Elaine was my favorite character in these third and fourth books. They are getting her close to right here too. 1 problem tho is that I feel like they just skipped her going through the arches, did she?

#WOT S2E7 I am starting to get sick of the character assassination of Mat and his family. His vision was pointless and if they are setting something up, it isn’t anything good. The Rand and LANFEAR plot is not bad. I like how the characters are all converging on Falme.

Then the horn. Birgitta and the rest! And Egwene! Egwene standing up to Ashamael! Very well done. I do think it was a bit underwhelming with Rand still just like the S1 finale. Well I guess I have things to look forward to. I didn’t like Perrin killing the white cloak tho … perfection is fleeting.

#WOTS2E1 rewatch. sure enough we get unnecessary scenes with Perrin filled with rage & with Liandrin tormenting Rand. Then there is also the fabrication of Moiraine’s stilling. This also causes wasted screen time angst to start this season. Too, weird call not have Rand in this miss of an episode.

It’s kind of a big deal to me that we missed out on her and Rand’s first meeting, so I hope they can recover from that whenever they choose to introduce them in the show.

Will we ever get to the actual plot of The Great Hunt tho? Moiraine sending Lan away? Stupid. Cmon. Folks! Ok. Now a scene with a forsaken and some Seanchan. I guess that will have to do. And yes. Logain and Rand to end the episode. This I like.
