Check out this gargoyle from the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Moulins (France), first built in the 15th century as a collegiate church, and later expanded as a cathedral in the Neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. It seems that this gargoyle represent the loup-garou (werewolf)

Meet the lad, Sokol the flamingo! He is a lagoon bird from beautiful Albania, and his species has become the symbol of a big social movement in the country πŸ¦©πŸ‡¦πŸ‡± #furry #furryart

It started as an environmental movement to protect areas of the Narta Lagoon and Sazan Island from development (the lagoon hosting the largest population of flamingos in Europe) and has since evolved as a movement against corruption and state capture.

To me, The Substance spoke a lot about where the lack of self-acceptance can lead you to (clue: not a nice place). Worth seeing if you don't mind the body gore.

"We are all in this picture, and it is not as pretty as it first seems": @coraliefargeat.bsky.social's THE SUBSTANCE "casts an unforgiving gaze over the beauty myth, engendering grotesque body horror". Now on BBC iPlayer. projectedfigures.com/2024/08/21/t...
