The battles of life Leave many scars This severed shroud Has not concealed The wounds endured Of fights worthwhile Courage not covered But instead revealed

2020 The Kodak Store... I was wandering downtown Lethbridge and came across this old painted sign. This is the Oliver Block and once housed Stokes Drug Store (hence the Kodak sign). Then I met a fellow who, while helping to restore this old bldg., uncovered the sign! Cool. #kodak

I’m extremely happy that the majority of Albertans have voted against a referendum to separate from Canada. 🇨🇦 But I am troubled at the results of the other nine questions (which, in my opinion, border on racism and and are anti-constitutional). 😢

I am also angry at the amount of taxpayer money the provincial UCP government wasted on this unnecessary fiasco. Danielle Smith and the UCP government must go. 😡

Today’s matinee: Tenzing (via Apple TV) “The untold and inspiring tale of one of the most important mountain climbers in history who, with Edmund Hillary, became the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest.” 👍🏻👍🏻

Here is a series of mausoleum interiors from the Cimetière de Montmartre in Paris. Many were without doors, or had screens through which I could shoot. I photograph them with respect and am careful not to disturb anything. They possess a powerful beauty. #paris

We are the same, You and me. At the end, Just bones you see. No way to tell, Our ethnicity. At the end, Just bones you see. The god we picked, To set us free, Can’t be told, By the bones you see.

In 2016 I received this amazing piece of work from the uber-talented Neil Martin Horvath It’s a portrait of me (from a mri scan of my skull) done on a piece of vintage sheet music. The music is, appropriately, Brahm’s Lullaby.

I liked the back alley view of this building. At first, the tree looked like a photo or poster affixed to the wall. Looking closer, I saw it was a window.

Tonight’s documentary: Meet Me In the Bathroom (via Kanopy) “An immersive journey through the New York City music scene of the early 2000s. A new generation kick-started a musical rebirth for New York that reverberated all the way around the world.”

Frames. I’ve never really thought about how many photographs I’ve taken. Probably hundreds of thousands. Each one part of an experience I’ve had on my own, or in collaboration with others who played a part in the process. Add them up, it’s made me who I am. What I am is lucky. What I am is grateful.
