Tosh Lupoi confirms that he made a change at play caller in the middle of last week’s game at UNLV. Pat McCann, hired as the pass game coordinator, took over for Jordan Somerville.

Sharks back tonight Valkyries Game 3 Friday Cal trying to respond in Vegas Saturday 49ers offense vs Denver's Defense Sunday We are SET this weekend

Cal Head Coach Tosh Lupoi when asked about UCLA’s loose demeanor on the road and if Cal can take anything away from it: “Don’t plan on us dancing, but do plan on us executing at a higher level.”

I'm honored to be part of extended Cal Football coverage as a Digital Reporter! Inside Cal Football will now include special-access content all week long, including weekly features, the return of the Inside Cal Football TV show, and "Cal Football Postgame Live" with Patrick Laird.

A few things… 1. I’m truly overwhelmed by the messages of support I’ve received in the past 24 hours. It means a ton. I can’t wait for what’s to come, beginning with Cal Football Postgame Live in September.

4. The listeners. I get it. A lot of you didn’t like change in 2024. And trust me, I had to grow up fast. But to those who took a chance on me and tuned into the show, you were a daily reminder of just why we do what we do.

2. Greg F—— Papa. You are such a fighter. Thank you for believing in me as a co-host, but this is so much deeper than sports talk. I don’t know why we had to share our fate today, but keep going, mofo.

3. My coworkers. You know how I feel about you. Thank you for taking chances on me, letting me in on the highs and lows of your lives, and never failing to bring your top-tier sense of humor.

I don't have an issue with the individual players the Warriors brought back this offseason. Many of them signed reasonable contracts. But it's hard for a fanbase to accept that a 37-win team seems content running it back, only knowing beforehand that Butler & Moody will miss a large chunk of time.

Free agent Gary Payton II has agreed on a one-year, $3.9 million deal to return to the Golden State Warriors, sources tell ESPN. Payton returns to the Warriors for his seventh year in the Bay Area -- and his 11th NBA season.

Let’s get the mailbag going. Krueg & I will attempt to answer all of your questions tomorrow on KNBR Giants trade deadline, 49ers injuries, Vita Vea, Warriors inactive offseason, FIRE AWAY mids. Otherwise, we’ll have to resort to Tim’s reviews of Daughtry albums, and we really can’t have that.

Look I’m not even trying to be overly negative, but the #SFGiants are hardly doing anything well right now. Regardless of your preseason expectations, I think it’s fair to say most people didn’t think it would be this bad this early

The #49ers haven’t earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to going against the grain in the draft, but have they earned it through overall organizational success? @JDJohnDickinson and I discussed on @KNBR

De’Zhaun Stribling’s strengths and weaknesses from The Beast - Willing blocker, stands out in a Shanahan offense - Accountability & training discipline - Needs better separation in man coverage - Lacks consistency on contested targets I sense some Jauan Jennings there #FTTB

We miss Papa, but we're excited for his next pronunciation battle with Osa Odighizuwa joining the #49ers A look back at some of our recent favorites from "Danny's Double Dips" 📹 KNBR

Hell of an effort from the Warriors these last two games. Had decent looks down the stretch, just missed too many and it was only a matter of time before OKC would make them pay.

The worst shooters in the NBA by total points added on four different categories. Was surprised to see De’Anthony Melton pop up here, will pull-up threes as his clear weakness.

"The unfortunate part for all of us who have appreciated Steph's career is that this is, unfortunately, the inverse of what he asked for, which is meaningful basketball. They are pretty close to the threshold of meaningless basketball right now." @samamick.bsky.social to Murph & Markus on KNBR

Yes, the second half has been rough. Yes, the Clippers had far too many easy buckets in transition. But let's not pretend like this Steph-less, Jimmy-less Warriors team should be expected to go toe-to-toe with most teams in the NBA.
