Carrie Fisher would have turned 70 today. She was truly a force of nature. Carrie was full of strength, grace, wit, grit, optimism, hope, and humor. She gave us Princess Leia, but more importantly, she gave us Carrie Fisher. She's still deeply missed, but her legacy continues to shine bright.

The Halloween episode of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" (Transylvania, January 1918) is some peak ’90s spooky season television with Indy meeting a man believed by some to be the reincarnation of Vlad the Impaler. 🎃🧛 🔗 www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF8X...

For some more Indiana Jones Halloween fun.... there's the young adult book "Young Indiana Jones and the Ghostly Riders" which tells the tale of 14-year-old Indy's ghostly adventures in Wales on Halloween night 1913. 🎃👻

The 1996 novel "Indiana Jones and the Dinosaur Eggs" by Max McCoy kicks off Indy's adventure to Mongolia with a strange encounter at Marshall College on Halloween night 1933. 🎃🦖

🎃 Some Spooky Season Star Wars… -Visions: Screecher's Reach (V2) -Lego SW: Terrifying Tales -TCW: Massacre (S4 E19) -Rebels: Visions & Voices (S3 E11) -TCW: Lair of Grievous (S1 E10) -TCW: Brain Invaders (S2 E8) -Ahsoka: The Jedi, The Witch & The Warlord (S1 E8) -TCW: Legacy of Terror (S2 E7)

Just finished Ke Huy Quan’s memoir. Was drawn into his story before Indiana Jones even entered the picture. His life as a refugee and his journeys through uncertainty were inspiring. Stories of Spielberg and Ford modeling positive masculinity were heartwarming. Audiobook read by Ke himself. 10/10.

Jim Henson would have turned 90 today. His imagination, kindness, and unmistakable sense of silliness and wonder left an incredible mark on me—from the Muppets to Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock to The Dark Crystal. Go do or watch something sensational, inspirational, celebrational or Muppetational.

Bob Mackie brought an unmistakable sense of style and flair to a galaxy far, far away for "The Star Wars Holiday Special." Rest in peace, Bob.

FYI — the soundtrack for the "LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian" special is now streaming.... just in case you need the Mandalorian theme as performed by Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes.

Happy 50th anniversary to The Muppet Show! Here's a look at the Star Wars episode of the show from Star Wars Insider magazine #55 in 2001.

The Star Wars scene Acme doesn't want you to see! Did you know that while C-3PO and R2-D2 waited outside the Mos Eisley Cantina for Obi-Wan and Luke, the two droids had an run in with an aggressive and abusive salesman from Acme Droid Services? They can't keep getting away with this!

The Indiana Jones scene Acme doesn't want you to see! This bit originally appeared in the "Princeton, February 1916" episode of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" but it was cut when the story was re-edited into "Spring Break Adventure" for home video. They can't keep getting away with this!

"The Rise & Fall of the Galactic Empire," "Skywalker: A Family at War," and "100 Objects" are among my absolute favorite Star Wars books of all time (and I'm sure "Star Pilots" will join them when it arrives next month). They all live together at the forefront of my bookshelf. Great reads!

George Lucas seeing a piece of narrative art:

From GL's preface: "The artists in this collection didn't just create images, they connected our modern imaginations with our ancient emotions -- with common beliefs creating community. Their work spans genres, media, and time. They deserve to be in a museum."

But why spend fifty bucks when you can just get a rock and make a clicking sound with your mouth?

In 5th grade, I had a sleepover where we watched "Clue." When it ended, we rewound the VHS and watched it again. Then we woke up the next morning and watched it a third time. It became a staple of every sleepover thereafter. Probably the movie I've watched the most that isn't a Star Wars. A classic.

Tim Curry did NOT have to go this hard voicing Hexxus, the personification of deforestation for a kids' cartoon. And yet he absolutely committed and nailed it.... and potentially made a whole generation of kids weirdly attracted to pollution. What a legend.

Tim Curry always brought it. Whether he was being terrifying, hilarious, theatrical, charming, or just completely over-the-top, he had a presence you simply couldn't ignore. He was such an influential part of my childhood with his great performances that left a lasting impression. What a legend.

I hope in season 2 of Ahsoka, when Grand Admiral Thrawn shows back up to wreak havoc across the known galaxy, someone goes to Mon Mothma and the leaders of the New Republic and simply utters the line "somehow Thrawn returned."

Finally got around to watching this and boy, is it fun! Very entertaining. A group of people clearly having fun together. It’s silly, enthusiastic, joyful, and honestly, that’s what fandom should be. People connecting with each other, celebrating what they love, and having fun. More of this, please.
