A pretty great day when I get to knock on doors AND the Giants win. Gotham victory was icing on the cake! 9 days!! #GOTV #vote #voteearly #flipnj7

All of these guys could have stood up for what was right. They didn’t and their cowardice is disqualifying. Let’s keep putting in the work to fire every single one of them. #VoteBlue #FlipNJ7 2/2

2) Republican candidates all over the district are telling the lie that they’re “only focused on local” and that national issues don’t affect local. Roxbury is exhibit A about why you shouldn’t believe them. 2/3

3) Damn proud of our Council in Summit for stepping up and changing zoning to ban detention facilities and data centers. Our Council did what the fed gov won’t to protect our city. #VoteBlue #FlipNJ7 3/3

Sure, my last post could have been more positive. I hope the #nokings rallies yesterday inspired everyone to knock on doors, make calls, and speak to voters. However you engage is helpful. My point: 16 days to E day. Don’t wake up Nov 4 wishing you had done more! #flipnj7

I lead a local Democratic Party in the swing district NJ07. My hot take: it’s fine to go to a #nokings rally today, but only if you knocked on doors or did some other voter engagement this week. Standing in a park with a sign doesn’t get anybody elected. Talking to voters does.

Nor’easter?! I barely know her! Lots of people home and had some GREAT conversations. People are fired up to vote! Some places are getting flooding and have lost power so in all seriousness check on your neighbors! @rebeccabennettforcongress.com 38 days! #flipnj7 #electmorewomen #voteblue 🇺🇸 🗳️ 💙

Thankful to Francie and Yon for hosting a meet and greet last night and beyond proud to support Liz Skoler and Emily Seelaus for Summit Council! They did a wonderful job outlining their vision for the future of this great city. #onward #electmorewomen #voteblue 🇺🇸 🗳️ 💙

Hey Tom, we’re not interested in your opinion about the Lt Gov when you don’t have anything to say about the Sussex GOP Chair being held on gun charges and while you’re still proud to have the support of the adjudicated rapist in the Oval Office. #flipnj7

25 years ago terrorists killed almost 3,000 people. 10 of them were Summit neighbors and one of those was a member of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad. Our neighborhood came together to support one another. We will always remember those who are gone and the bravery of those who helped.

60 years ago the first episode of Star Trek aired. Trek is stories of how the best of humanity can bring about a hopeful vision of the future. But to get there we have to know our values. We have to take sides and make uncomfortable choices. And sometimes we have to fight. Ad astra per aspera.

Happy first day of school, Summit!! Thanks to all who are working to make this a great first day. Let’s all drive slowly and take some extra time this morning.

Last night we had a wonderful Summit Democrats meeting and assembled lawn signs! Great to see Liz and Emily unbox their very first lawn signs. On the flip side, Megan and I have been doing this so long we loaded a bunch of signs in our car and she said “smells like September” 😂 🪧💙🇺🇸🗳️

So glad we’ll be able to afford rent, healthcare, and groceries now! Seriously, we have to start withholding business from companies like Apple and Google which have been kissing the administration’s ass from day one.

I was traveling for business this week and had a very long drive home, made longer by storms and traffic. Megan encouraged me to listen to the “Dolly Parton’s America” podcast. I finished almost all of it and want to share some of my thoughts about her incredible life and legacy. Here’s three:

2) Dolly always stayed away from politics in comments and interviews. But so many of her songs are a political master-class, telling stories of people in order to make a point that is undeniably pro-women, pro-labor, and empowering. The way she treated people made everyone feel safe around her.

3) People are desperate to assign labels and then it is easier to decide whether we like them or not. But nothing is simple. People are never just one thing. Dolly understood that life and love is complicated, and we all deserve a little more grace from one another. Rest in peace, Dolly.

1) Dolly came from nothing and became ultra-wealthy. She was strategic to grow and protect her business interests, but also gave away hundreds of millions to many of the most noble causes. Her fanbase was wildly diverse, and polar opposites like Trump and the DSA are genuinely mourning her loss.

2) The Clerk’s office requires coordination across government and relatability to constituents. Tai has executive experience working at the municipal, state and federal government levels, and as a first time candidate for elected office also offers a fresh perspective.

3) Technology is evolving rapidly. Tai represents the next generation of leaders who will need to quickly implement new regulations and upgrade systems while ensuring government remains efficient. I look forward to casting my ballot for Tai, and I hope you will too!

1) Elections are under attack. Tai understands the role of the Clerk, the relationship with the Board of Elections, and I’m confident she will be an integral part of the State of NJ’s efforts to protect our sacred right to vote.

A happy warrior. A man of ideas. A person never took himself too seriously. A tireless advocate for others. Just some of the qualities we remember seven years after Councilman Matt Gould passed away. Missing my friend Matt and thinking of the Gould family today.

How it started vs. how it’s going almost exactly 8 years after we knocked on doors together in Summit I was honored to attend the opening of MY ASSEMBLYMAN Vinnie Kearney’s district office!! Congratulations my friend! I’m so proud to be represented by you!
