Applied for the Programming Committee role. It would be a dream come true to help work for the organization/community that has given me so much, and think this role would be the perfect fit for me. I'd love to develop my behind-the-scenes skills. Regardless of the outcome, I'll be happy.

Caught my family playing this last night. If anyone needs/has room for a roommate, please let me know.

How it Started vs. How it's Going I'm very excited and happy that I get to do this. More details soon!

And now to see Sonic Live in Concert. Never seen video game music being played live like this so I’m excited.

I’m a little mixed on the set list but holy shit the musicians, performers, and production were all fucking phenomenal.

Happy to report the GOAT is not washed. Very much worth the 2 hour drive here on a work day. Now for the 2 hour drive back (luckily I’m not the one driving).

Just realized today is my 9 year anniversary of my first ever Twitch stream, which also is when I officially became a speedrunner. I can't believe it's been that long already. Even though it's taken a backseat for the past while, I'm still very happy to be in this community and do this hobby. Ty!

Only submitting All Night Nippon for this AGDQ because it's the one thing I really want to get in right now. I'll have more submissions for SGDQ.

Ok so all 3 other speedrun leaderboard projects I've been following made in the past couple years all use Claude AI slop in one way or another. Nothing fucking matters anymore dude I hate everything.

SRC has been incredibly important for speedrunning history, information, and accuracy. After Elo took over, they’ve slowly jeopardized all of this. Lots of content has been removed because of their decisions. This is the last straw. If this goes through, SRC will be completely useless. Fight this.

SRC changed their terms of use yesterday, and released a news post with an FAQ. They make it sound like not a big deal. It's a big deal. The Creative Commons licence is gone. They claim ownership over the data now. Thread about what this means, and what we can do about it 🧵

I’ve been losing a lot of respect for people recently for either using AI slop or collaborating with horrible people. How hard is it to just not?

Ever try to stream speedruns again after a significant hiatus and get hit with the Internet/Livesplit/Capture Card not working properly wombo combo? Really makes me feel like the universe is telling me to never show my face again.

Finally home after my ride’s battery stopped at the cell phone lot and needed to be jumped so that was fun anyway now to wake up for work in 4 hours!

Excited for PAX West. Leaving tomorrow night and will be there until Monday afternoon. Doing a speedrun I’ve never done at a marathon before on the GDQ stage on Sunday so that’ll be fun.

Just saw an AI-generated advertisement on YouTube using someone I know’s likeness to promote something holy fuck man.

I'm happy to report that I'm really enjoying my new job so far. It's such a huge stress reliever to have a full-time position and actual insurance for the first time in my life. Still adjusting to this new normal so not sure when I want to try adding streaming back into my life, but hopefully soon.

Project Update: - All marathons between 2022 and 2024 archived (including a few new ones I previously didn't know about that fit the criteria). - Changed up the opening page with more information about the spreadsheet. - Added a link to my Ko-fi because god damn this is taking a lot of work.

I want to share a project I've been working on. My dream goal is to archive all content from GDQ events (not Hotfix shows) in one spreadsheet. I've currently just done a couple 2024 marathons that I'm familiar with. Let me know if this would be useful/interesting. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Forgot that a few days ago was actually my 9-year anniversary of discovering speedrunning. Wild that the game that got me into this journey could literally be perfected any day now.
