Hmmm, oddly, I didn't show up in the online log, but it is showing up now. XX9TXN was a good strong signal at the time. I now need them on 12m, so I'll keep an eye out for them ๐Ÿซฐ

That was a very windy weekend, but this morning started calm, but with heavy drizzle. It's now stopped and trying to brighten up a bit. It's also quite mild at 17C

I thought Storm Boelo was supposed to track across southern Scotland? Hmmmm.... it's definitely causing a stiff breeze down here ๐ŸŒช๐ŸŒช๐ŸŒช๐ŸŒซ

The storm seems to have passed through now, but the rain is persisting, and due to get heavier this afternoon. Might have to play a bit of radio

The storm was supposed to clear this afternoon, but it is still gusting to F9. Need to go out and tidy a few bits that have been blown around, but I'll wait till it has calmed down a bit first ๐ŸŒช๐ŸŒซ

Called CQ on 20m FT8 earlier. Guy calls me on my TX frequency. I send him a report, and he works someone else, finishes the call, then starts CQ'ing himself. What a lid..... ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ˜

Yay! I was pleased to work Richard W7ZR on 40m FT8 this morning, and it is now confirmed on #LoTW. That was the last State I wanted for WAS on 40m ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I had so many things lined up to do today, but after the delayed flight home yesterday, and the fact that I'm bushed after a very busy weekend, I haven't managed to accomplish very much. But, it was a great RSGB Convention, and well worth going

Just had a superb meal at Ye Old Swan close to Kents Hill, mostly due to good reports from various amateurs today Well recommended

OK, now I'm starting to flag. It's been a very long day, but spent a good while at Bletchley Park and the NRC. Had some food, and currently in the bar, but not sure I'll last much longer, and it is NOT down to alcohol

The journey has started. Up at 4am, bit of breakfast, picked up at 5am, off to airport for 5.30am. Now checked in and waiting to board the flight to Southampton, then drive up to the RSGB Convention ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

Another step in the shack rebuild today. The RS232 to USB lead arrived today, so I've got computer control back on my rotator controller. Just a small step, but so useful.

Well, this is strange.... it's the 5th of October, and I'm sat in the garden - in shorts - and enjoying the warmth of the sun. Currently 21C and clear blue skies

Spent the morning sorting the shack. Out with the old, in with the new. Still a bit to sort in terms of ergonomics, but it's a start

As it was so warm this afternoon, I managed to get the grass cut. Considering it was just a bare brown patch only a few weeks ago, it now looks lush and very green.

Just as well I had a spare clockwise switch for my G600RC unit, as they are no longer available from Yaesu. A bit fiddly to change it over, but it's done and working.

Off to Saumarez Park today for the Donkey Derby with the club. We will be on air as GB5DD in POTA GG-0001 from around 0930UTC until around 1600UTC.

Oooh! It's raining, and not just a bit. It's actually chucking it down โ˜”๏ธ๐ŸŒง And the temp has dropped right down. Currently 17C, which is around 10deg less than the past few days

The rain had cleared by around 11am, and since then, it has warmed up, and the sky is clear ๐Ÿ˜Ž Only around 10mm of rain this morning, although it felt like much more than that

All booked up for the RSGB Convention ๐Ÿ‘Œ early flight on Friday, then up to Bletchley Park and TNMOC. Staying on Sunday night as well, with a trip to ML&S on Monday before returning to Southampton for the last flight home.

Back home after watching the eclipse. Now sat in the garden as it is still 25C here at 9pm ๐Ÿฅต The temp peaked around 32.8C today, so this does feel cooler. It's forecast to be even hotter tomorrow

Radcom finally arrived after such a long sea voyage. Bit later than usual, but at least it arrived. I'm planning on joining the eclipse experiment by doing some 80m WSPR. Should be interesting to see what happens

Well, at last it's cooling down outside. I think it topped out at around 30C earlier, hence I was in the shack - it was just too warm to sit, or work, in the garden ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ˜Ž

Ye gods! I can't believe that funding for Jodrell Bank is being removed ๐Ÿ˜ณ Who the heck thought that was a good idea, given all the important work they do?
