My friend just said “my tv remote died. But it is a couple years old now, so that makes sense.” It is INSANE that planned obsolescence has made it so we think that A FEW YEARS is a normal lifespan for electronics. Which then end up in landfills and the cycle continues.

If humanity migrates off-planet, we'd need to inhabit space itself and have missions to planet outposts. Adapt to live permanently in human created habitats intended to remain in orbit, like giant rotating rings on the edge of an asteroid belt. From which, we can harvest water and organic materials.
