Aside from how efficient everything is, my biggest "why isn't the rest of the world doing this" from Japan is that most bathrooms have little spray nozzles on the walls so you can wipe down public toilet seats. It's such a no-brainer, and it's weird that the west's version is huge paper seat covers.
