Stay left. Drink beer. Watch cricket (Glos CCC). Let football ruin you (Dons with added Celtic and Roma.) Swim wherever you can. She/her

Hrre, at the Abbey Stadium, and across the Lower leagues: We’re coming for you, we’re coming for you, Manchester City, we’re coming for you.

Theres a lot of bad singing on the tube tonight. But it’s Friday and I have probably done it myself in the past. But better tunes, obvs.

On the Today Programme Lisa Nandy's response to the Piddington racists was to say that a village in her constituency would vote the same way, giving credence the far right agitator line about dangers to women and girls as justification. 🤦‍♀️

Genuinely love this. If a player got hit when not being able to see the ball properly the same people would complain.Complain about Reform being on your board instead.

Absolutely unbelievable. The game has been called off for the day because of bad light and we will have to come back tomorrow for the sake of four runs! This is a massive example of cricket doing itself no favours whatsoever. Those still in the ground are rather angry. #BBCCricket

Even by Premier League standards Fulham fans are abysmal. I’m sure they used to be a bit better than polite clapping of goals and leaving after an hour?

Happy EFL Day to all who celebrate. Welcome back to the corner shop bags of cans for the train, the snide Stone Island badges sewn onto shit gear over the summer, the lads queuing for the traps for a sniff of cheap coke. We love it all, right?

Had dinner next to some hideous landlords. They wanted to evict their tenants and tear the solar panels off the house. Thought themselves posh but they lived in Radstock and couldn’t pronounce delice. I mean I’m from the worst edges of Horfield and I can say delice properly.

Charlton fans on the train to Cheltenham are having a ‘mare. Two of them tried using the wrong tickets while the bloke across the aisle opened a can that exploded all over the table and the immaculately dressed woman opposite him. She is now making a swift departure to another seat.

Kemi Badenoch on Today defending the neo-Nazi council candidate by saying that it is right to give those who have previously been radicalised a chance. Badenoch on Shamima Begum, whom was groomed by Islamic State when a child, "Citizenship is a privilege, she forfeited it." 🤔

Tomorrow, Lord Walney, who was responsible in part for the proscription of Palestine Action, will publish an article in The Times arguing that BASH BACK be proscribed as a terrorist organisation. We will not be intimidated. Neither should you. xoxo BASH BACK

Never heard a referee tell a TMO that he thinks he’s completely wrong before and then argue his point for all to hear. Referee will get beers for life in Argentina, TMO will need an escort out of the ground (he was also correct IMO.) #ARGENG

I’d ask why Gérard López is still allowed to be out there killing football clubs, but the answer is just football. Depressing nonetheless.

I’m exhausted and I didn’t even watch the game. Heard everyone in the pub though and the church bells every hour. I was up just after five as usual though and have to work so…

Booing at Lord’s a rarity but on this occasion it was absolutely bang on. A terrible decision by the third umpire to overturn a clear Ecclestone catch. It won’t change the result but it was a very poor decision. #WT20WC

Naturally I was asleep for all of the penalties drama last night and early morning. A German friend passed me in his van, stopped and gave me a lift to the lido and he was asleep through the game too. Not seen any Dutch people yet, but it is only 6am.

My own World Cup warm up ended in a predictable sloping off to bed 10pm. Not sure I’ll see that much of the tournament, early mornings are so much better than late nights.

It seems very wring when Serie A releases fixtures in early June. I'm pining a little for the days of not even knowing whjen the season would start, let alone when the fixtures would come out. Back then Italia qualified for World Cups too.

Thought the train was busy this morning, had completely missed there being a tube strike today until a colleague in the office mentioned it just now.
