We should nationalize BioWare. It's not even a bad political move in this moment given Alberta's continuous grievances and claims of neglect. Plus the values of those games are quite Canadian in their progressiveness and would enhance soft power. @avilewis.ca gets it, does @mark-carney.bsky.social?

Project Hail Mary is a good movie. I'm really not much of a movie guy but it's probably my favourite in a long time, though I'll have to watch it again to be sure. Quite an achievement to make a rock spider so endearing, the humour is of a type that often doesn't work for me but it does here. 5*

Finally found some time to hit credits on Final Fantasy XVI. I do see where certain aspects of the criticism come from but I quite enjoyed it on the whole. Don't think I've played a more spectacular game, the characters are well realized, and I enjoyed the combat throughout. Very solid FF entry imo.

Love to spend a couple of hours of my Sunday grappling with GPU drivers after an update causes repeated crashing and instability and then the Nvidia app crashes mid rollback... Second time this year, if I remember correctly. And now the manual install seems to be stuck too... Very cool🙃

Finally got around to starting Wolf Hall season 2. Everyone in the series is such a bastard but my god what a show. From the costuming, to the music, lighting, performances and general vibe, it's such a treasure. Not flawless of course, but sumptuous in a way few pieces of media are.

I'm gonna say now that I will not finish this project by the timeline. I overscoped in the art department and of course got too busy in other aspects of life to put the time I wanted into this jam, as it always goes. I do want to finish the project though, so the goal is sometime in October. #bitsy

Resubbed to FFXIV on a whim after a couple of years away. Last time I played I started a new character on a new server and apparently I was playing a monk? No memory of that. I also sort of forgot how Duty-dependent the game is, the thing that invariably makes me stop playing every time...
