Some life news: I am planning to step back from Hanusa Design in the coming months. It has been a wonderful ride over the past nine years: learning, growing, and meeting people from around the world who enjoyed my jewelry. As I start my sabbatical year, I want to focus my attention in new ways.

Runway alert! This unique #mathjewelry has been on the runway in Europe. And now you can own it to make a statement for your own night out.

The Chessboard Necklace shows a knight's tour on a modified chessboard and Knight's Tour Earrings show a three-dimensional knight's tour on a 3x3x3 chessboard. Both pieces are White- and Black-Rhodium Plated Brass, created through a 3D printing process.

Get while the gettin's good! The Hanusa Design website has been restocked and reflects actual inventory. Some NEW and UNIQUE pieces have been added. I will no longer be fulfilling custom metal orders and everything that is in stock is on hanusadesign.com. Once they're gone, they're gone.

If there is someone out there who is particularly interested in learning about the mathematical jewelry business and wants to work with/own an established brand, I will consider partnerships or a sale. Otherwise, I intend to wind down the retail part of my business by the end of 2026.

Reach out to chris at hanusadesign dot com if you want to start a conversation about this or if you would like to discuss mathematical entrepreneurship. At the current time I still plan to supply retail clients (museums and independent shops) with wholesale items on demand. On to new adventures!

I will be attending and exhibiting at MAA Math Fest in Boston in early August 2026 with my inventory for people who want to peruse the stock I have on hand. Afterwards I will be cataloging the remaining inventory on hanusadesign.com and set up a going out-of-business sale for whatever remains.

2nd day of our #illustratingMath workshop on "Rigorous Illustrations" at the Institut Henri Poincaré. We heard from Shadab Tabatabaeian on cognitive effects of proofs, Elliot Kienzle on big vs. small #math, and Frédéric Brechenmacher on model history. Also, jewelry from @mathzorro.bsky.social. (1/2)

Many museum shops are run by a giant conglomerate, but not the nysci Science Shop! Through this collaboration I've worked directly with Sanjay, the retail manager, who curates his store with hand-picked gift ideas. You should visit the museum and then stop by the store to see the wide selection.

Trying to support artists this holiday season! I bought a silk scarf from a local artist for my MIL today and just ordered some jewelry from this shop for my math major daughter

Hi! I turn mathematical ideas into wearable art. I design #mathjewelry 💍 using computational software, bringing them to life through a 3D printing process (SLS nylon or lost-wax casting). Free US shipping over $99. Visit hanusadesign.com to see the full collection. #MathSky #mathart #smallbusiness

Forbidden subgraph earrings - wear a theorem on your ears! Kuratowski's theorem says that a graph is planar if and only if it contains neither a K5 nor a K3,3 as a subgraph. Here are those two forbidden subgraphs. Available at hdsn.us/NE230. #MathSky #mathjewelry #gomath

The merkaba has long been a mystic symbol. At its heart is the intersection of two tetrahedra. Here is my take on this classic form, replacing the sharp lines by soft curves. Merkaba Earrings available now: hdsn.us/NE221 #MathSky #mathjewelry #nylonearrings #3dprinted #merkaba #sacredgeometry

I know, I know, it's hard to improve on the cube. But hear me out! What if you interlock two wireframe cubes together? Sure, it's crazy. But wait there's more! What if you attach a third one? And you can wear them! On your ears? What?! hdsn.us/NE210 #MathSky #cubes #nylonjewelry #3dprinted

On Friday at Noon (EDT) I am giving a talk in the New York Combinatorics Seminar. The title is: "Mathematical illustration through a combinatorial lens" in which I share my decade-long journey as a mathematical artist and jewelry maker and how it intertwines with my combinatorics research.

The show went great! It was so nice to be able to share the pieces with everyone. Lots of excitement and enthusiasm for the designs. And everyone else's work was amazing!!

What great prompts! I have some jewelry that fit many of these words; I'll see if the other topics inspire new pieces. Day 1 of #MathArtMarch is my Circle Around Pendant, featuring circles of circles! hdsn.us/MP414

#MathArtMarch for 3/4/25 (nice numbers btw!) "swirly" ... that made me think of my rotini earrings. (pasta ftw!) Each model swirls to replicate a different mathematical function. From left to right: |x| (x+sin(x)) sawtooth, x^2, x^3, e^x They're so fun! hdsn.us/rotini #MathSky #mathjewelry

Day 5 of #MathArtMarch is discovery. What do you get when you build a 3D analog of the Koch snowflake? Start with a tetrahedron and add smaller and smaller tetrahedra to the boundary. Keep going and you get ... a CUBE?!?!? 🧊🧊 Koch Tetrahedron: hdsn.us/ME234 Read more: hdsn.us/read 🧮 #mathjewelry
