This week is the one-year rescueversary of these three alpaca ladies! We are so glad they’re here and forever safe and cared for. 💓

When you gotta go, you gotta go! At this point, we’ve been 💩ed on so many times by every species we care for… Often when visitors are here they’re worried about getting dirty, but that’s just sanctuary life. 😂

This Pride month, please remember that “love is love” isn’t advancing anything. Instead, shout from the rooftops, “Protect trans kids!”, “Queer rights are human rights!,” and “Wishing all the homophobes a super uncomfortable month!” 😂 Full caption over on IG/FB. Please read!!

Make sure to watch ‘til the end to see Ramsey’s latest party trick. It’s sooooo fun. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

50lb of strawberries have been distributed in our Free Farm Stand in the past few days 😋🍓

Goose and Rex took their first swim yesterday!! 🥺 You can support their care here: donorbox.org/happycomprom...

A few days ago, five new residents came to the sanctuary. Four of them made it. ❤️‍🩹 If you’re able to make a tax-deductible donation towards their intake and medical care we would be so grateful! linktr.ee/happycomprom...

How could anyone ever eat a turkey after seeing how smart, silly, and affectionate they are?! #animalrescue #friendsnotfood

We always wondered how Great Pyrenees pups Tofu and Tempeh got so clean after getting so dirty. Thanks, Tabitha! 🐮💓 *** *** *** #animalsanctuary #animalrescue #interspeciesfriendship #bestfriendsforever #manipedi

Equal rights for all doesn’t mean fewer rights for you. ✌️

Retired Rear Admiral Jay Garagaroo and Pfeffernüsse are recovering and adapting to sanctuary life so well 🥺

Nearly four years into caring for Miriam and her life is so incredibly different than when HCF+S first relocated to this property with 100 residents back in September 2021. She’s got a forever herd, multiple shelters, access to water and food, and so much love and care. We love you, Queen Miriam. 💓

Just doing our best out here, and continuing to show up despite… everything. 😅 (Full, much better caption over on IG/FB/TT)

Tempeh just learned she’s named after a delicious plant-based protein and decided that the cows needed some in their hay salad. 😂 How cute is this?! She’s so proud of her friends and her sanctuary. 💓

Definitely cried while making this. We’ll miss you forever, Sal. 💔

In case anyone was wondering… community support is where it’s at.

There’s something so magical about the start of a new year. It’s fresh and so full of possibilities, untainted by our errors and misfortunes of the past (or so it feels like 😅). We’d love to know - do you make resolutions? What do you do to ring in the new year? Let us know in the comments below!
