On World Mental Health Day – and every day – we make space for real voices and lived experiences. At Harmless, we believe listening is where meaningful change begins. #WorldMentalHealthDay #LivedExperience #RealVoicesRealChange

For #SundaySpotlight, we had to return to the Robin Hood Half Marathon! Too many people to thank individually and so many photos to choose from, but we loved this one from ADC Infrastructure, who raised funds for us through the corporate challenge. Huge thanks again to everyone!

As Harmless approaches its 19th birthday, we’re looking back at our journey, the vital importance of self harm support and the work still to come. Our founder and CEO Caroline Harroe shares her thoughts on where we’ve been and our hopes for the future: harmless.org.uk/reflections-...

Congratulations to everyone who completed today’s @RobinHoodHalf or Mini Marathon, but a special thanks to our incredible fundraisers who ran, walked, cheered and challenged themselves to support our life-saving work. Huge and heartfelt thanks from the whole Harmless team.

Our colleagues Alice and Katherine were at Derby Pride last weekend, sharing information about our services and the support we offer. It was wonderful to connect with the local community, raise awareness and help reduce stigma. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Yesterday was National Suicide Memorial Day for Health & Care Workers. Clinical Manager Laura attended an event in Leicester to remember those lost to suicide, reflect on the impact, and stand alongside the healthcare community. Read her blog here: tinyurl.com/3xxjc4xp

We’re excited to share that Harmless are exhibiting at The Emergency Services Show 2026, taking place at NEC Birmingham tomorrow and Thursday. Come and visit us at stand CZ51 to find out more about our crucial work supporting the mental health of emergency services teams.

You don’t have to navigate suicidal thoughts alone. Whether you’re struggling yourself or supporting someone else, help is available. NHS 111 (Option 2) can provide urgent mental health support. In an emergency, call 999. #WSPD #SuicidePrevention

The words we use matter. Talking about suicide with compassionate, person-centred language can help reduce stigma and make it easier for people to speak openly. Changing the narrative starts with how we speak. #WSPD #SuicidePrevention #ChangeTheNarrative

You don’t need to fix someone’s pain to support them. Listen without judgement, acknowledge how they’re feeling and remind them they’re not alone. Sometimes, your presence, attention and willingness to listen can make all the difference. #WSPD #SuicidePrevention

You don’t need the perfect words to start a conversation. If you’re worried about someone, ask how they’re doing. And if you’re concerned about suicide, ask directly. You won’t put the idea into their head. You may create space to talk and find support. #WSPD #SuicidePrevention

This #WorldSuicidePreventionDay we’re talking about changing the narrative around suicide. You don’t need all the answers to show someone you’re there, but we’ll be sharing some of our specialist knowledge throughout the day to help you in those conversations. #WSPD2026

People in suicidal crisis need specialist support. PAPYRUS entering administration is a damning indictment of attitudes to mental health. We call on @10DowningStreet @DHSCgovuk to act to protect suicide prevention services. bit.ly/4h0bU9P #Papyrus #SuicidePrevention
