Trump's "friendship" with Roy Cohn makes more and more sense every day

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

But telling Susan Collins to "shut up" is the real scandal 🙄

Trump on El-Sayed: "His name is actually Abduladadalalalala. It's Adulbabababababa Mohammed Al-Sayed. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right. He's a jihadist."

So ICE is going to check your ID before they check it at the counter, and then again during the screening process - while being paid with money they don't have for TSA? NEVER underestimate the ability of the Trump WH to break something even more. Making stuff worse is all they know.

Forget Trump's hate speech last night. There was nothing new in there. Don't bother wasting any oxygen on it. This is the story EVERYONE should be covering

Trump wants us to pretend he can rename things. Like he expects people to pretend he wins his golf tournaments. Or pretend the fake Time magazines are real. Or pretend that he's 249 pounds. Adults (not acting in a show) that play pretend are mentally ill. It's time to acknowledge that.

Do you know what is WAY cheaper than funding ICE, building concentration camps, renting foreign prison space, and flying people there? Creating a path for citizenship or permanent residency. It's 100% more moral, too.

What's the math on a path to citizenship? If you've been here for a decade plus, raised a family, have a job, pay taxes, and contribute to your community - why are we so gung-ho on maximum cruelty? What's the point? They were born somewhere else - so what. They've made a life here. Let it go.

If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029: - $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion - $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million - $8 billion for hiring/retention - Billions more.

MAGA: Stop saying Trump is destroying democracy he's doing no such thing! Noem (Today): "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders" -- Has the US Senator from California handcuffed for interrupting her.

GOP: They should come to the country legally by going through the proper process! Also GOP: We're going to court houses and deporting people who are going through the proper process Also Also GOP: It's too hard to deport them legally, so we're not going to follow that process

By making international students unwelcome in the US, Trump would be removing $44 BILLION from the US economy. Those students will take their dollars elsewhere, and other nations will influence and shape them and be the beneficiaries of their talents. The stupidity on this is off the charts.

The Stages of a Failing Trump Argument STAGE 1: We don't have to give him due process STAGE 2: He doesn't deserve due process STAGE 3: We won't be giving due process to others either STAGE 4: He got as much due process as (insert strawman) STAGE 5: We believe he got due process

Did JD Vance have anything to do with the death of Pope Francis? Of course not. But, I'm going to play by the FOX News "What if this was Hillary Clinton" rules and spend the next week "just asking questions" about it.

GOP: Denying an innocent man due process and shipping him to a foreign death camp is really not a big deal. There's no reason to return him. Besides he was a (insert long vomit of lies) Also GOP: Visiting the wrongly deported man is disgusting grandstanding and un-American.

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison. It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

So, in the left picture is a criminal who got every part of due process awarded to him and never saw a jail cell - and in right is a guy who is not a criminal, got no due process, and was shipped to a foreign death camp. A thanks to the WH for this comparison. It's very enlightening.

Harvard is finding out that when you tell Trump "no," he'll try even harder to grab your genitals. And when he does, he'll tell us that they let him do it. Because when you're the president, you can do anything. Just ask Chief Enabler Roberts.

So, is Justice Roberts going to stand up for his branch of the government - or is he just going to cowardly stay quiet hoping this all blows over? I'm guessing the latter. He may have no enforcement mechanism. But, he shouldn't let this go without a statement - even a weak ineffectual one.

MEDIA: We have no evidence, so let's speculate as to whether Biden has Parkinson's or dementia .... TRUMP: I'm 6'3", 224 pounds and my "frequent victories in golf events" (at the golf course I own) prove my superior health MEDIA: The White House reports that Trump is in perfect health!

The next big organized rallies should be held in front of media outlets. Major newspapers, cable and local TV stations, regional news offices - all of them. Impore them to do their jobs. They deserve the same wrath we are aiming at the political class. Give them a day, too.

Trump: We're the all-powerful USA!. No one tells us what to do! We tell others what they will do for us - and them make them do it! And, they will be sorry if they don't. Also Trump: We can't get that guy back from El Salvador. There's just no way to do it.

The Trump doesn't want Abrego Garcia back, because 1) It keeps the media attention on their f-up - and their indifference to making it right 2) When he gets back, we'll get a first hand account about how horrendous that place is I wish I had more faith there will be happy ending.
