I've only recently started hearing people use the word "mentee" and I have to say that I hate it. It sounds incredibly sophomoric, and I've always known the term to be "protégé" which I think sounds far more eloquent.

So it would seem that Janeway has settle on the mid-frequency squeak as her preferred means of verbal communication. It's the cutest fucking thing. Seven hasn't picked up any of Janey's vocal cues. It's weird. I hate to admit it, but Janeway is my favorite kitty. I had her first.
