Like hear me out - with bugs and spiders there's at least some cognitive dissonance. But we KNOW octopi are intelligent af and still some species participate in sexual cannibalism to the point where the males sometimes are like "here let me just detach my mating arm, I'm out, byeeeee!"

Me to Mudry: I'm the 'It's wild just how many different species from arthropods to cephalopods the female cannibalizes her mate.' flavor of weird, not the 'How many times is this actor chewing gum in scenes that he shouldn't be?' flavor of weird. (And don't even get me started about anglerfish...)

Picking up your end game Blue Prince save after a year is like trying to finish writing your thesis paper with notes written in crayon by some drunk conspiracy theory version of your past self. Past me really did not like to explain their math. They were on to SOMETHING though. I think. Maybe.

Something I find absolutely delightful about Pokopia is that ditto mimics the speech patterns of the Pokemon talking to them. They even choose to/have to mimic their friend's language. It gives just a little more detail to our favorite lil guy. 😭

Please excuse the fact that my face is leaking profusely. I'm just experiencing the entire range of human emotion compressed into a conveniently compact 12 hour time block. It's been a wild day.

I finally got around to reading Project Hail Mary and I'm being very normal about it. (Narrator: They were, in fact, not being normal about it.) I need more stories fueled by existential hope in my life.

Sometimes I think about how it's a shame that technology and modern record keeping keeps us from becoming unknowable enigmatic wanderers who appear and disappear with the wind.

Why the hell would I support the development and use of AI when all of the applications so far are denying me basic healthcare, dynamically raising my grocery prices, ushering me to a sludge level chat bot for any customer service needs, and removing creative human connection from media I enjoy?

I've really been enjoying making stained glass lately as a hobby and I'm even more glad I bought most of what I needed last year. I can't wait to be able to make bugs... 🐛 (The middle one is my own design even 😊) The bat is kglasscreations on Instagram and Facebook.

Well... I'm a game dev so please don't mind if I post a couple bugs. (I'm sorry, I had to.) It's been nice to experiment with a newish media combo, markers and coloured pencil. I'm getting back to my roots of drawing bugs, and it's really helping me a lot.

I'm at the stage of burnout where it's just "reject humanity, draw bug (molt)".

My friend literally just learned cross stitch and yarn making and sent me a care package of a bunch of her first pieces. 😭 She's so damn talented!! She's never met a fiber art she can't master, I swear!

I really wish you could just order replacement lenses from Zenni. I have perfectly good frames that I messed up one lens. 😭 (Note: I would prefer going to the local optometrist but the woman who helped me in the front was very rude about my appearance and preferences last time I went).

You know, it would be real nice for the economy to not be intrinsically tied to an ephemeral list of imaginary numbers... With said numbers guided solely by the whim and whimsy of mostly affluent people gambling? Just like... A thought.
