Formenton committing rape is NOT at all factual. As per the facts if the case and not even disputed by the alleged victim. She either led him to the bathroom or followed him in and they had sex… her entire charge about being fearful was never mentioned in the first 2 statements to the police…

I have no problem with the players being suspended, as there should be a standard of conduct expected and the lack of good judgement was shown. Formenton served that suspension. He was then reinstated by Hockey Canada and the NHL. I have no problem with the suspension or the reinstatement.

Any woman that has a rape charge should me taken seriously, and a full investigation should happen. The alleged victim got that. At the same time, anyone charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Being charged with a crime, does not automatically make a person bad or evil.

BTW the civil case is mentioned in the criminal trial. The alleged victim was paid out by Hockey Canada based on her original Statements to them and the police. They never talked to the players, later charged, before paying the settlement.

Her entire rape charge is based on she had fear and was too drunk to consent. Her fear addition only started when she filed the civil claim. The claim that she was too drunk to consent was rejected by the judge for several reasons.

I read all the outrage and you know that 99% percent of the people posting have never read the case. Frankly, reading it isn’t easy because everyone including the alleged victim show an extreme lack of judgment but it’s pretty obvious that the rape charge is highly debatable on every count.

Her claim of being too drunk to consent was rejected as there are several videos showing she was coherent. That is the only mention of Formenton. He was never at the bar with the alleged victim as he was too young, and was rejected entry.

The Me Too movement largely failed because while championing women’s right we decided that any man accused of any sexual crime should be automatically be guilty. Being charged or accused was enough. That just doesn’t work.

As I said a week ago. The 5 members of Team Canada were exonerated. The judge said that the alleged victim was not credible. Anyone that has taken time to read the case could see why that would be the case. All people have rights, being accused of a crime doesn’t make you unemployable for life.

here’s a theory. if McDavid was a hot to to trot to play in Toronto he could have done so easier twice. He could have finished his entry level contract, refused to extend and demand a trade to Toronto. B) he could have just let the last contract expire and give the same sweetheart deal to the leafs

“McDavid wants to play in Toronto, it’s just the question what type of team the Leafs are” If the Leafs are good, their chances of getting McDavid are good because I think he would want to play in Toronto if they pay him. If they are not good, there’s not a chance.”

In fact he could have picked 31 teams, because every team in the NHL would have jumped at the chance at having McDavid for 2 years at 13 million a year!! He could have chose ANY destination in the ed NHL at that cap hit! He chose the Oilers!

So if he really wanted to win in Toronto he could have played out his contract in Edmonton and given the Leafs the same sweetheart deal for 2 years as he gave the Oilers. He would be a Leaf right now! He didn’t.

“I was talking to another fan, that’s just his theory & and I won’t share his name and he said.. (that’s just as legitimate). a theory means Just like that fan, he’s never actually talked to McDavid and has no legitimate idea

I am all for championing women’s rights and you should take and rape allegation seriously, but I am also a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty, and actually reading a transcript of a case before condemning those accused!

I read the transcript of the Team Canada rape charge and frankly the women’s story is not credible. If you haven’t read the case don’t bother responding I won’t reply. I came away surprised on how badly Team Canada acted in so many aspects. it was hard to read but the judge was right to not convict

Yep. She stood for everything they are against, and she had Christianity right. It’s not about judging others. It’s about treating others how you want to be treated, helping others that are less fortunate

THIS 👇 HERE, MAGATS.......

This announcer is so pro Winnipeg it’s downright ridiculous. I like where he had to grudgingly admit that a tied catch goes to the receiver, but was clearly disappointed😂

It’s still amazing to me that Americans still think their Constitution is great. It’s so full of holes that Trump has driven a truck through it. They allow Supreme Court Justices as political appointments for life. Their system isn’t even close to the best in the world

let’s be real frank. It doesn’t matter whether Nurse plays well or not in San Jose. Without that trade the Oilers cannot resign all of Murphy, Dach, Kapanen or bring in Anderson. They also don’t accrue cap space. In a cap world a trade isn’t all about the players traded.

For Edmonton it was Nurse for Mukhamadullin and the cap space. If any “expert” hockey analysts or bloggers ignore the cap space and/or what the Oilers did and do with the cap space going forward than that analysis is flawed as that was a huge part of that trade from the Oilers perspective.

I believe this trade is a win-win. San Jose will benefit from Nurse’s experience, minutes and his physicality. The Oilers are benefitting from the cap space. If Mukhamdallin can develop into a good 5-7 dman that is a bonus.

He takes way less than market value to play in Edmonton, because he doesn’t actually want to play there??? Obviously that isn’t logical. He took less because he wanted Edmonton to have the best chance of winning. But he isn’t going to take way less than market value on a long term deal.

Let’s go.back in history a) he hated be drafted by Edmonton but signed his entry level contract but as soon as is done he will demand a trade. McDavid signs 8 year extension. He signs 2 year extension it must be because he is not sure he can win…
