I'm beginning to believe, despite everything did they manage to do it?!

For the #birdoftheday alt theme of #urbanbirds, some pigeons on our lovely (and nearly 400 year old) annex to the city hall

For #BirdOfTheDay and the alt theme of #SereneBirdScene, this one was watching the eclipse with us and it felt pretty serene.

This guy made my day in Munich in the park this June, and is a fitting candidate for #BirdOfTheDay #NoBranchWood.

For #BirdOfTheDay #PeekABook I can offer this woodpecker I had a rather hard time getting any clear shot of the other day.

For #BirdOfTheDay I have a heron and a peacock each putting their #BestFootForward.

For #BirdOfTheDay with #LittleBrownBirds and #Busted (great themes @atlanticbirding.bsky.social) I've had some shots from a touch too far away of this warbler (not the same individual if I recall) looking grumpy and yelling.

My #BestOfJuly #BirdOfTheDay candidate is perhaps this coot. Happy with what I was able to capture, even not getting out as much as I had hoped this month.

I have hardly anything to offer for a #BirdOfTheDay looking skywards ( #OverTheRainbow ) except perhaps for these swallows, which I find rather hard to capture even when they sit still for a moment.

For #BirdOfTheDay themed #EgretsAndHerons here's an old blurry capture of what I assume was a Great Egret in a rather spectacular setting.

Been a bit since I've shared a #BirdOfTheDay but for #Peekaboo (alt theme today) I remembered this older shot that seems to fit the bill.

For #BirdOfTheDay and #InTheirElement have a swan in the Alpsee in Schwangau, a district with the swan in both its name and sigil.

For #BirdOfTheDay #OutForAWalk I humbly submit this duck. This is the JPEG straight from the camera, I've had some difficulties editing the raw to any effect that I liked so its still sitting in Darktable, unfinished. #mallard

For #BirdOfTheDay with theme #Black I can offer this carrion crow which, judging by the plumage, had to go through some things, landing in dramatic fashion. Perhaps also fitting for the alt theme of #Moments?

On short notice, best I can do for #BirdOfTheDay with #LongLegs is this. Anybody who's ever seen coots get territorial knows of their oversized legs and on the chick they look a bit oversized as well.

For #BirdOfTheDay #InFlight how about some Canada geese on the move early in the morning? We get a lot of geese here in the wetlands in northern Germany.

For #BirdOfTheDay #YourChoice I choose this rather chubby/fluffy house sparrow from the mountains around Innsbruck that would fit right in with the sparrows i am used to from Berlin.

No regrets about having gotten into bird photography recently, S-tier hobby. Still figuring out what I want to share and how but here's a gull that, i think, was nicely accentuated by the harsh mid-day light. #birds

somehow I feel it should be illegal to advertise new products on a search for '... refurbished'. it just seems a little gross that I search for 'Pixel 7a refurbished' and the first two results are for a new Pixel 10a.

Me when my product drops to two nines of uptime: "it's just that my software is a bit anxious right now"

Literally as I’m arguing with someone about whether AI companies are misleading people into believing their technology possesses God-like super-intelligence I see this monstrosity

You are up to date.
