What a great day in north central MN today! Did a couple walks around the “back 40” and a pretty intense 31 mile bike ride. Unfortunately, I haven’t started doing any chores yet.

Havasu Creek and Canyon. An absolute gem, crystal clear spring feed river that flows into the Colorado River. A can’t miss stop on any rafting trip thru the Grand Canyon.

One of a number of projects I had to finish up at the lake. The south facing side of the fish cleaning house was rotting out. So I had to rip the siding off and replace. Turned out pretty good. Still needs a coat of paint, but just about done.

It’s been 20 years since I’ve been to Brown County State Park in southern Indiana. The crowds just aren’t my thing. Got there just before sunrise this morning and didn’t see anyone for the first 5 miles of my hike. Parking lot almost full by the time I left, but a good spring day hike.

Was at the Warroad-Hibbing Class A state championship hockey game earlier today at the X (oops, Grand Casino Arena). What a game! One of the best I’ve ever seen. What an honor to be back home in the State of Hockey!

As a former and future Minnesotan, these days are extremely rough. But I’d like to thank the orange man who has created so much chaos for greatly improving my marriage. My conservative wife and I used to fight about politics regularly. At times I struggled to see our future. Now, we are united!

This “dolmen” boulder is about 5’x3’x3’ and is the highest prince of ground for almost 100 yards in any direction. It’s supported by 3-4 smaller rocks. Anyone else have weird superstitions about these kind of rocks?

How nice was the weather yesterday in Alaska? Nice enough to take a picture of Denali from 120 miles away (as the crow flies) on my iPhone. I’ll admit, the quality is pretty much garbage, but a photo from 120 miles on a cell phone…

Only worked until noon today and hiked possibly the best hiking trail I’ve ever done. Reed Lakes Trail in the Hatcher Pass Management Area. My iPhone pictures fail to capture the full beauty.
