Well... The good news is I found one of the main underlying causes of my illness. Apparently I've been living my life with a chronic staph infection in my sinuses--and yes, that's every bit as miserable as it sounds. Thankfully, it looks like I'll be getting by with minimal long term tissue damage +

And if course my insurance made it impossible to get them, so after waiting for weeks I threw in the towel and paid out of pocket πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I'm not thrilled with this process, but also extremely grateful that I should be feeling significantly better in a couple weeks!! What a journey this illness has been

TurboTax is such an ungodly combination of polished UI that obscures a labyrinthine UX. Few services stress me quite so much as TurboTax. Why did it take me 20 minutes of digging to get old tax returns? Why did I have to go through my Intuit account, which all sources say is a separate service?

Dusting off some animation skills, it's been a while since I've done any so just sticking to some basic block out stuff for now until I get back in the groove.

Well, in a rather last-minute turn of events, I'm going to be at Furality this year! I've only ever been to one (non-work) convention and certainly never a furry one! If anyone else is going, I'd be delighted to say hello! Now to see if I can get some kind of costume situation together in time...

Additional elements like the hood and neck cowl were modeled in Blender, unfolded in Pepakura, and cleaned up in Affinity Designer before being cut and sewn. This could all be done by hand, but I have the digital tools so I may as well use them :B #art #furry #WIP #fursuit

Around this time it became clear that Capns was not going to hit the con deadline, so I took over finishing the mask as well. I began with the standard tape patterning approach, but chose to digitize them for cleaner results. Bootes ordered stretch fur which freed me up from a LOT of extra darts.

The mask base was digitally sculpted, retopologized, and prepped for 3D printing in #Blender. I built it based on a 3D scan of Bootes compliments of the Polycam app, but unfortunately the scaling didn't work out to real world units very well ;_; #art #WIP #furry #fursuit

The base took nearly 5 days straight of printing, but the finished result is surprisingly strong and light. The shell is 3mm thick and held together with CA glue and plastic welds. I used 20mm chicago bolts for the hinge. #art #WIP #furry #fursuit

Barring any fresh disasters and tragedies, I'm on track to have better financial stability in the next 6-8 months. One of the things that excites me most of all is FINALLY getting to join all the Patreons, tip all the Kofis, and buy all the commissions :D ARTISTS, I AM COMING FOR YOU WITH MY DOLLARS

I finished up this digital sculpt commission for my friend. It's prop from the movie Zeiram 2 :D I did the sculpture and they printed and finished it. In spite of having owned a 3d printer for like 10 years, I still get so excited seeing my sculpts in real life 😭😭 #art #3Dprint #kamalite

One of my commissions is a 3D printable fursuit base. I built a geometry node tool that lets me add procedurally generated perforations to a mesh based on vertex painting :3 I know it's pretty simple, but man I love automating things! This will work on any mesh. #b3d #furry #fursuit #WIP #blender

Man, I wish PC problems were more comprehensible. In the year of our lord 2026, why can't my system tell in me in plain language what's wrong? Why do I have to do so much manual debugging lol Also, having my primary source of income suddenly unusable is a whole new kind of stress

I needed a new icon that reads better at a small scale, but got hella distracted by PNGtubers. I still need to set up advanced lip sync and some basic shading, but very happy to have a digital Avira to hang out in my videos and discord streams :D #art #dragon #PNGtuber #PNGTuberRemix

... So I guess a medication being covered by my insurance doesn't actually mean it will cost the standard copay :'D Currently scrambling because one of my prescriptions is $3400 AFTER insurance. Time to see if I can get this one from foreign pharmacies πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

Also very displeased at the number of phones calls I made before signing up for this very expensive insurance where I was assured that it would be "covered" without mentioning which bracket of coverage it fell under. Said bracket was not even included in the coverage brochure.

Ok, help me solve another work debate LOL. If you come across a product/service whose verbiage feels obviously AI generated (with tropes like em dashes, lists of three, "it's not X, it's Y" and etc), does that impact your decision to engage with that service? If so, how?

As someone who works in tech, AI feels ubiquitous at this point but I'm not seeing realistic conversations about its capabilities (in tech spaces). I have an opinion on the above question, but I want to hear what others think (and also I have not kept up with the literature so I'm not well-informed)

BEHOLD this incredible sculpture 😭😭😭 It's so beyond cool seeing art that begins as digital be transformed into traditional media! Makes me want to try it with Avira

Insanely huge commission for @arukanoda.bsky.social of the beautiful Lavi! Arukanoda provided some sketches for reference, including for the pose, and precious redlines to make it as perfect as possible✨ My biggest challenge and most rewarding and enjoyable artwork to this day πŸ’™ #dragon #3D #b3d

Continuing to play around with a painted style with the specific goal of being fast enough to be a feasible commission type. This particular speed painting approach wasn't it, but I think she came out nice enough to post! #art #dragon #speedpainting
